A collection of videos showing Congressman Paul Ryan taking on the likes of Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, Timothy Geithner, Austan Goolsbee, MSNBC and Chris Matthews.  In my previous post, Paul Ryan Schools Obama on Obamacare and Economics in Six Minutes (Video), he took on President Obama.  I think the man will be able to more than hold his own with Joe Biden in future debates and will be terrific as our next Vice President!

Great debate with Debbie Wasserman-Schultz on Social Security reform – Ryan wanted an ‘adult’ conversation:

Obama Drops His Name Into the Other Presidential Biographies (Is there no limit to his narcissism?)

By  via Commentary Magazine

Many of President Obama’s fervent devotees are young enough not to have much memory of the political world before the arrival of The One. Coincidentally, Obama himself feels the same way—and the White House’s official website reflects that.

The Heritage Foundation’s Rory Cooper tweeted that Obama had casually dropped his own name into Ronald Reagan’s official biography on www.whitehouse.gov, claiming credit for taking up the mantle of Reagan’s tax reform advocacy with his “Buffett Rule” gimmick. My first thought was, he must be joking. But he wasn’t—it turns out Obama has added bullet points bragging about his own accomplishments to the biographical sketches of every single U.S. president since Calvin Coolidge (except, for some reason, Gerald Ford). Here are a few examples:

  • On Feb. 22, 1924 Calvin Coolidge became the first president to make a public radio address to the American people. President Coolidge later helped create the Federal Radio Commission, which has now evolved to become the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). President Obama became the first president to hold virtual gatherings and town halls using Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, etc.
  • In a 1946 letter to the National Urban League, President Truman wrote that the government has “an obligation to see that the civil rights of every citizen are fully and equally protected.” He ended racial segregation in civil service and the armed forces in 1948. Today the Obama administration continues to strive toward upholding the civil rights of its citizens, repealing Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, allowing people of all sexual orientations to serve openly in our armed forces.
  • President Lyndon Johnson signed Medicare signed (sic) into law in 1965—providing millions of elderly healthcare stability. President Obama’s historic health care reform law, the Affordable Care Act, strengthens Medicare, offers eligible seniors a range of preventive services with no cost-sharing, and provides discounts on drugs when in the coverage gap known as the “donut hole.”
  • In a June 28, 1985 speech Reagan called for a fairer tax code, one where a multi-millionaire did not have a lower tax rate than his secretary. Today, President Obama is calling for the same with the Buffett Rule.

I imagine Bill Clinton will be especially receptive to Obama’s habit of shoehorning himself into the limelight previously occupied by others. As you can see, the bullet points make clear that while each president has done something historic or notable, Obama is carrying forward every one of those accomplishments since Coolidge. No wonder he always seems so proud of himself.

Dictator Obama Issues New Threat to Supreme Court over ObamaCare

By Sher Zieve via Canada Free Press

In his latest display of his full USA federal government dictatorship over both the American people and the former co-branches of government, Dictator Obama is warning the Supreme Court to either rule in his favor or face severe consequences.

Fox News’ Martha McCallum advised Thursday that the Obama Administration has been quietly sending missives to the Supreme Court threatening that if it doesn’t rule in his favor on ObamaCare, Medicare will face disruption and “chaos.”  Therefore, if SCOTUS rules in favor of the US Constitution, Obama & Co will begin its campaign to either destroy Medicare or make those on it suffer greatly.   The Obama syndicate is said to be threatening to hold off Medicare payments to doctors and hospitals if SCOTUS does not comply with Obama’s demands and submit to him.

As an additional example of Obama’s illegal and (I believe) highly treasonous behaviors, on 1 May and 2 May Obama issued two additional unconstitutional and illegal Executive Orders.  The first E.O., issued 1 May 2012, makes the USA subject to “international regulations” as opposed to looking to and following the US Constitution.   Also, with this new E.O., the US FDA will now be able to be bypassed by International committees—thus, replacing the FDA with any international group which may be chosen.  In essence, Obama is quickly eliminating US Sovereignty and selling the USA to the international “community.”

The second E.O. issued in 2 days was signed by Obama on 2 May 2012.  This E.O. instructs the USA to bow to international regulations instead of the US Constitution and Businessweek reports:  “Obama’s order provides a framework to organize scattered efforts to promote international regulatory cooperation, the chamber’s top global regulatory official said today.

“Today’s executive order marks a paradigm shift for U.S. regulators by directing them to take the international implications of their work into account in a consistent and comprehensive way,” Sean Heather, vice president of the chamber’s Center for Global Regulatory Cooperation, said in an e-mailed statement.”  This also brings the USA closer to becoming a “North American Union” and—also—eliminating its sovereignty—in toto.

Suffice it to say, no one in Congress has issued even the proverbial “peep” over either of these illegal “orders.”  Do the American people really want to continue to live under this blatant tyranny?

The second question is “Will the Supreme Court of the United States of America bow to Obama and give up its co-equal status to the dictator as the US Congress has already done?”  If so,  perhaps its time for We-the-People to recruit the Honduran Supreme Court who, along with their military, ousted its then President Manuel Zelaya who had become a dictator.  Oppression under the Obama syndicate becomes worse each and every day, folks.  Will we ever choose to go back to the sunshine?

“And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?”—Revelation 13:4

How Obama and Democrats Continue to Decimate the American Middle Class

By Jeffrey Klein via The Examiner

The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act,  was a “fig leaf” law manufactured by desperate Democrats for two very important  reasons [to them].

To protect the political legacies of two high-profile Democrat career  politicians, Sen. Chris Dodd (D-CT) and Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA), who, as  chairmen of their respective banking committees, were the “henchmen” who blocked  numerous attempts by the Bush Administration to step in and audit the now  collapsed Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

More importantly, it was to hide the fact that the “Sub-Prime Mortgage“  crisis that caused the meltdown of the U.S. economy was actually propagated by a  1995 Clinton-era wealth re-distribution plan, which “forced” banks to abandon  mortgage qualification standards so they could provide mortgages to high-risk,  low income homebuyers with little or no down.  And, according to the Law of Unintended Consequences, it was the middle class  that was most greatly devastated by financial loss and high, protracted  unemployment–even though, ironically, they are the very people President Barack  Obama and Democrats claim to be protecting now, against the “evil” capitalist  Republicans.

According to Susan Adams’ Forbes article yesterday, citing a recent  episode of CBS’ “60 Minutes,” one of the most troubling aspects of the  unemployment picture in the U.S. today is the fact that more than 4 million  Americans have been out of work for more than a year, and more than 2 million  have been jobless for more than 99 weeks, so their jobless benefits have run  out.

Long-term unemployment has reached levels not seen in the U.S. for the last  60 years.

Those who have been out of work for two or three years wind up taking drastic  measures. They sell their homes and their cars, and they pull kids out of  college. They lose contact with their professional networks and struggle with  rock-bottom self esteem.

“I was so ashamed to reach out for help, because I felt discouraged. I felt  ashamed that I had failed,” Vernon Downes tells 60 Minutes.  A  former information technology project manager for a company that makes medical  devices, he had been looking for a job for two-and-a-half years. Downes had gone  on food stamps and taken a part-time job blowing leaves for a landscaper.

A recent Business Insider article, which profiled 11 middle class men  and women who have been unemployed for at least two years, includes Veronica  Orozco.  She is a 30 year old Civil Engineer, wife of a grad student and  mother of two, who had been with a firm in Chicago.

Veronica has been unemployed since June 2007.

The article stated that most people don’t understand how someone could fail  to find a job for over a year unless he was lazy or somehow defective.   And, it was found that this stigma makes finding a job harder, every day that a  person has been unemployed.

Now, excessively long term unemployment is driving people mad–costing  taxpayers billions of dollars in mental illness and other disability  claims.

The New York Post reported Sunday that as unemployment checks run  out, many jobless people are trying to gain government benefits by declaring  themselves unhealthy.

In January, more than 10.5 million people, or about 5.3 percent of the  population aged 25 and 64, received disability checks from the federal  government, which is an 18 percent jump from pre-recession rates.

Among those claiming disability, 43 percent are asking for benefits because  of mental illness–a growing number of whom are older, former white-collar  workers.

These claims put increased pressure on the fiscal viability of the Social  Security Trust Fund, which is already set to go broke in 2018–even though last  week Congress voted to extend the “Payroll Tax Holiday” through the end of the  year, eliminating over $100 billion from the funds income.

The Post noted that the more people file for disability claims, the better  for the unemployment picture since those people are removed from the jobless  rolls.

This is most likely the primary, yet perverted, factor that has caused the  systematic and “false” reduction in the unemployment rate over the past four  months–not an upturn in the economy as President Obama would have us all  believe.

And, Obama’s refusing to approve the Keystone XL pipeline project again last  month, cost the country 20,000 desperately needed high paying jobs within  months–without any taxpayer loans.

This is just more proof of how President Obama and Democrats have decimated  the middle class in America–instead of protecting them, as they claim.

15 Questions The Mainstream Media Would Ask Barack Obama If He Were A Republican

By Jeff Carter via Towhnhall Finance

If you deny that there is liberal bias in the mainstream media, you are living under a rock. We saw George Stephanopolos take marching orders into debate questioning.

The only thing they don’t ask Republican candidates about much is economic questions and debt questions. Instead they ask horribly slanted, often irrelevant questions designed to make them look bad and help Obama. We’ve heard questions about contraceptives, religion, Newt’s angry ex-wife, Cain’s employees, Romney’s personal wealth, Gardasil, etc. Newt’s rise was because of the way he attacked the media and Obama in the debates because of the stupid and obviously planted questions.

So, what would happen if the mainstream media treated Barack Obama the exact same way they treat Republicans? The questions might sound a little something like this.

1) Numerous Mexican citizens and an American citizen have been murdered with weapons knowingly provided to criminals by our own government during Operation Fast and Furious. If Eric Holder was aware that was going on, do you think he should step down as Attorney General? Were you aware of Fast and Furious and if so, shouldn’t you resign?

2) In 2010 you said Solyndra, a company that donated heavily to your political campaign, was “leading the way toward a brighter and more prosperous future.” Today, Solyndra is bankrupt and the taxpayers lost over $500 million on loans that your administration knew might never be paid off when you made them. How do you respond to citizens who say this is evidence of corruption in your administration?

3) Unions invested a lot of time and money in helping to get you elected. In return, unions gained majority control of Chrysler, the taxpayers lost $14 billion dollars on General Motors, and General Motors received a special $45 billion dollar tax break. What do you say to people who view this as corruption on a scale never before seen in American history?

4) Through dubious means you and your Democrat allies in Congress managed to force through an incredibly unpopular health care bill that helped lead to the worst election night for the Democrat Party in 50 years. Since the bill has passed, many of your claims about the bill have proven to be untrue. For example, we now know the bill won’t lower health care costs and despite your assurances to the contrary, big companies like McDonald’s say they may drop health care because of the health care reform. Congress has exempted themselves from the health care reform and instead has their own taxpayer-funded premium health care plan. Many large companies (that donate to Democrat political campaigns) have received special exemptions from the health care plan. Since the majority of the American people have rejected your health care reform and it doesn’t do what you said it would, shouldn’t you work with the Republicans to repeal it?

5) When you took office, the national average for one gallon of gas was $1.89 per gallon. Since then, you’ve demonized the oil industry, dramatically slowed offshore drilling, blocked ANWAR, and rejected the Keystone Pipeline. Now, gas is $3.54 per gallon and rising and is expected to reach $5 per gallon by May of this year. How much higher do you anticipate driving gas prices?

6) Occupy Wall Street has been protesting against Wall Street and the richest 1 percent in America. You are in the top 1 percent of income earners in America and you have collected more cash from Wall Street than any other President in history. So, aren’t you exactly the sort of politician that Occupy Wall Street wants to get rid of?

7) How do you decide which foreign leaders to submissively bow towards and why do you think that’s appropriate for an American President?

8) If they could, don’t you think the Nobel Committee would take back the Nobel Peace Prize that you were awarded after serving just one month in office?

9) You made bipartisanship one of the central themes of your campaign in 2008. Yet, you’ve worked to push bills through Congress with almost no Republican support, spent much less time negotiating with Congress than George Bush did, and you’ve said things like, “But, I don’t want the folks who created the mess to do a lot of talking. I want them to get out of the way so we can clean up the mess. I don’t mind cleaning up after them, but don’t do a lot of talking.” Why did you decide to break your campaign promise to pursue bipartisanship?

10) America lost its AAA credit rating for the first time under your watch. What do you think you should have done differently to have prevented that historic failure?

11) You cut more than 500 billion dollars out of Medicare to fund your wildly unpopular health care reform bill. Given that Medicare is running in the red already, don’t you think it’s irresponsible to cut money out of one entitlement program, that millions of seniors depend on — to put it into a risky new entitlement program?

12) Back in July, you said, “Nobody’s looking to raise taxes right now. We’re talking about potentially 2013 and the out years.” Since you plan to raise taxes if you’re elected and you’ve had kind words for a value added tax, shouldn’t every American expect a tax increase if you’re reelected?

13) Why should the American people reelect you when your 10 year budget saddles America with more debt than all previous Presidents combined?

14) Your stimulus bill cost more in real dollars than the moon landing and the interstate highway system combined. Many prominent economists have concluded the stimulus plan was a total failure. What do we have to show for all of that money spent?

15) Members of your administration promised that the trillion dollar stimulus would keep unemployment under 8 percent. Instead, we’ve had 35+ months of 8% and above unemployment. Doesn’t that mean we wasted a trillion dollars on nothing?

Americans are NOT protesting the road to serfdom, we’re paving it!

Regardless of how we got here, e.g., collective stupidity, addiction to entitlements, a castration of our cojones or mass media mind control, one thing is for sure: Those of us who recognize it need to stand united and fight it!

If we don’t, tyranny and totalitarianism is all that awaits us.

In his seminal book, The Road to Serfdom: Text and Documents–The Definitive Edition (The Collected Works of F. A. Hayek, Volume 2) Hayek demonstrates how socialist governments (Obama Administration) are motivated by illogical ideology and political posturing. They inevitably tamper with free market principles. In so doing, it usually results in suboptimal economic performance, financial crisis, and even greater intervention. Hayek would argue for solutions based on individual freedoms while limiting government’s ability to intervene in markets, but socialist/marxists see it differently. Instead, they demand greater and greater powers, claiming that only greater intervention can fix the problems that their actions have caused. To the extent that people buy into this thinking and vote to grant governments ever more power, economic and personal liberties are surrendered, eventually resulting in tyranny and totalitarianism.

Hayek also points to the fact that socialism and it’s characteristic “centrally planned” economies tends to concentrate power in a small band of political elites (Obama and his endless appointment of czars). In this type of system, only the most corrupt and politically ruthless tend to advance, and over time it gets to be increasingly difficult to oppose them. Leaders, unable to offer real growth and prosperity, turn to things like thought control, group think (media) and other dubious and nefarious means to stay in power and advance their socialist agendas.

Although construction of the progressive highway to a socialist / communist America began at the end of the Reagan Administration, the one fly in the ointment that they could not foresee was the birth of the internet—the great equalizer, the peoples platform, a conduit of coalescence and the ultimate arbiter of the very definition of free speech. At no time in our country’s young and fragile republic has there ever been a more effective enforcer of our 1st Amendment right.

At the same token, not since the Civil War has America found herself at such a monumental crossroads. We have two choices that lie before us:

A. Fight to preserve our blood-bought freedom and liberty

B. Surrender that freedom and liberty and continue to pave the road to serfdom

This presidential election is America’s 2-T (Titanium Testicles) moment. And from what we’ve witnessed in the race for the GOP nomination, only one candidate has the balls to match his brains and that’s—Newt Gingrich!

To say that Gingrich is not a conservative is tantamount to saying that Obama is not an egalitarian.

In fact, according to the Freedom Index—a congressional scorecard based on their adherence to constitutional principles of limited government, fiscal responsibility, national sovereignty, and a traditional foreign policy of avoiding foreign entanglements—Newt Gingrich scored an 84 out of a perfect 100, more than double that of his congressional peers. To put that in perspective, the average score for the past two congresses averaged 59.

When Newt Gingrich was confronted on a recent talk show about his being a labeled a “big government progressive,” he replied by saying . . .

“Well, I don’t know, I mean, depends on what standard you’re using. You know, the fact is that I balanced the budget for four consecutive years. And we did so well cutting taxes and increasing employment. So people went back to work; they left welfare; they left food stamps; they left unemployment; and they left Medicaid. Who else has a record of that level of achievement?”

He continued . . .

“I worked with Reagan in ’79 & ’80. I worked with Reagan for eight years in defeating the Soviet empire. I think those are relatively conservative credentials.”

Where does Newt Gingrich stand on the issues? Let’s hear it directly from the horse’s mouth . . .

1. Fiscal Policy: Gingrich claims he would be able to balance the national budget within five years of taking office using a five-point plan: Eliminate the NLRB, replacing the EPA and repealing ObamaCare; cutting regulations on financial institutions; employing a fiscal policy based on Reaganomics; providing a one-year tax moratorium, coupled with the elimination of capital gains tax and reducing corporate tax rate to 12.5%; and limit unemployment benefits to a maximum of four weeks.

2. Tax Reform: Gingrich Favors lower, flatter tax rates, and has a pro-growth instinct toward reforms that lower rates and broadens the base. He favors broader fundamental tax reform; in 2008 enthusiastically praised the idea of an optional, single-rate income tax reform proposal. He said an optional flat tax would save taxpayers more than $100 billion per year and reduce compliance costs by over 90 percent. He has advocated a near flat tax proposal that would lower the current 25 percent income tax rate to 15 percent, affecting close to 90% of American workers. Either option would not only bolster our economy, they would send it through the roof.

3. Free Market Principles: Gingrich believes that workers have basic human rights but unions have outlived their purpose. Unions discourage competition and are overly concerned with politics, spending millions of dollars on influencing government policies while their pension funds are in the red. Unions have made the cost of producing goods in the U.S. prohibitive. In 1994, William F. Buckley, Jr. called Gingrich a “profoundly committed free trader,” and his record and rhetoric over the years bears that out. He is strongly opposed to Sarbanes-Oxley which regulates small businesses in this country; the Dodd-Frank mortgage bill that restricts lending money for mortgages; and opposes the “Employee Free Choice Act,” or “card check,” especially its binding arbitration provision.

4. Personal Responsibility: Gingrich stated the revolutionary idea contained in the Declaration of Independence is that certain fundamental human rights, including the right to life, are gifts from God and cannot be given nor taken away by government. Yet, secular radicals are trying to remove “our Creator”—the source of our rights—from public life. He has an aggressive strategy to defend life and religious liberty in America.

5. National Sovereignty: Gingrich went on record August 14, ’11 stating, “the United Nations and other international bureaucracies are seeking to create an extra constitutional control over us and he rejects the model totally. The United States is a sovereign country; the United Nations has not authorized anything to the United States; the United Nations does not have any control over the United States; and we want to make sure that it remains our core values as we go forward. At the Values Voter Summit in DC, September, 2010, Gingrich told the crowd that it’s time to take federal action to prevent Sharia Law from infiltrating courtrooms in the US; and we should have a federal law that says sharia law cannot be recognized by any court in the United States and that “no judge will remain in office that tried to use Sharia law.”

6. Constitutionally Limited Government: There’s a long list of big government regulations that Gingrich has opposed. Commendably, he advocates full repeal of Sarbanes-Oxley. He fought Obama’s cap-and-trade scheme and wants to abolish the EPA. He also opposes the Obama EPA’s controversial plan to regulate carbon emissions via the Clean Air Act, and has urged Congress to prevent its implementation. However, in ‘08, he starred in a TV ad with Nancy Pelosi urging a bipartisan solution to climate change. In a debate with Kerry in ‘07, like so many Americans that were duped by fabricated science, he said, “the evidence is sufficient that we should move towards the most effective possible steps to reduce carbon loading in the atmosphere.” While he insisted that government regulation wasn’t the answer, he said, “I would agree you would get more change more rapidly with an incentivized market rather than a laissez-faire approach. ”

7. National Defense: Gingrich believes that the greatest danger to the nation is the rise of radical Islam inside this country. He said Sharia law is a mortal threat to the survival of freedom in the US. He would call for a federal law barring courts from using Sharia law and endorse efforts already under way to exclude Sharia as well as other non-American law codes from being applied in America’s courts. He thought withdrawal from Iraq without a decisive win was a blow to national security. He also believes it’s dangerous not to compete with India and China stating that losing our economic advantage will cause us to compromise national security. He thinks our secular-socialist system is another danger. Homeland security is willfully hiding from reality, reacting instead of being proactive, and twisting the language instead of targeting the real enemies.

8. Energy: Gingrich supports lifting restrictions on energy production; offshore drilling; drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge; nuclear plant construction; and removing bureaucratic and legal obstacles to responsible oil and natural gas development in the United States, offshore and on land; ending the ban on oil shale development and giving coastal states federal royalty revenue sharing as an incentive to allow offshore development. He has long endorsed a federal role in supporting renewable energy projects and the development of clean energy technologies including cleaner energy research and projects with new oil and gas royalties. Replacing the EPA with an Environmental Solutions Agency that would use incentives and work cooperatively with local government and industry to achieve better environmental outcomes while considering the impact of federal environmental policies on job creation and the cost of energy.

9. Heath Care: Gingrich opposes ObamaCare and favors repeal, and more recently has supported tort reform in the context of health care reform and cost-containment. In ‘09, he criticized Obama’s health care overhaul for skirting the issue of lawsuit abuse reform which ignores more than $200 billion in potential savings annually in health care. In his ‘08 book Real Change, he advocated an individual mandate for health insurance (a similar mandate central to ObamaCare and being challenged by 26 states in court as being unconstitutional). However, he also wrote “Individuals are expected to help pay for their care. Everyone should be required to have coverage. Those with very low incomes should receive vouchers or tax credits to help them buy insurance. Those who oppose the concept of insurance should be required to post a bond to cover costs.”

10. Entitlements: Gingrich has been consistently pro-growth and pro-reform on Social Security, favoring personal Social Security savings accounts owned by individual taxpayers and off limits to congressional spendthrifts. He supported the effort in ‘05 to reform Social Security with personal accounts, and a ‘04 plan that would have done much the same. He favors comprehensive reform of the notoriously inefficient Medicaid program and originally proposed the idea of block-granting the program back to the states in ‘95, giving them more flexibility to administer it. He has long advocated expanded health savings accounts, tax free accounts coupled with high-deductible catastrophic coverage to allow people to build a medical nest egg, like a health care 401(k) plan. He played a high profile advocacy role on behalf of Bush’s Medicare prescription drug benefit bill in ’03 by urging House Republicans to pass what was billed at the time to be a $400 billion expansion of the federal government.

11. Education: Gingrich is for empowering parents to pick the right school for their child. He would institute a Pell Grant-style system for Kindergarten through 12th Grade and require transparency and accountability about achievement. He advocates implementing a “no limits” charter system and establishing a pay for performance approach. He would also restore American history and values into the classroom as well as protect the rights of home-schooled children. He would shrink the Department of Education to a bare bones administrator and encourage states to think outside the outdated boundaries of education.

12. Immigration: Gingrich believes that our open borders are a direct threat to our security. He thinks the terrorists can cross our borders at will with little deterrence. He supports a guest worker program that allows a worker to stay here for a certain time then go home. He thinks we should make it easier to come here legally, work, obey the law and prosper. Requirements for any worker visa program must be tough and strict. He thinks everyone here illegally must go home and apply for legal status.

As for Newt Gingrich’s personal shortcomings, let he who hasn’t sinned cast the first stone. I’m not voting for a priest, I’m voting for a president.

Fight for the man who will fight for America . . . Vote for Newt Gingrich!

Until next time . . . Wake Up America!

Geithner Raids Federal Pension Funds – Déjà Vu from Last May (And LBJ’s Theft of Social Security Funds)

By David DeGerolamo

Geithner Raids Federal Pension Funds – Déjà Vu from Last May

Tim Geithner once again is raiding the federal pension funds since the debt ceiling has been breached. Don’t worry about federal retirees not getting their pension check: the government is required to pay them whether money is in the pension fund or not. In other words, the federal pension fund is just another slush fund and its assets are available to be spent as necessary without any penalties. If an “evil corporation” did this, their officers would be put in prison after a well publicized trial.

Remember last may when Geithner blackmailed Congress using this same trick?

US raids civil service pension fund as it hits $14.3 trillion debt …

The US has suspended payments into a civil service pension fund to free up almost $150bn as the major debtor nation approaches its legal borrowing limit.

Timothy Geithner, the US Treasury Secretary, announced the move in a letter on Monday to Congressional leaders as he explained that the move extends the government’s breathing space to August 2 to avoid an unprecedented default on its borrowings.

How did that work out for us? After eight months and another $1 trillion later, we are once again going down the same path. Remember the spending cuts Boehner wanted in order to agree to the August debt ceiling increase? John Boehner is more concerned about election results than doing his job and the people continue to pay the price for his incompetence.

Treasury dips into pension funds to avoid debt limit - Reuters

The Treasury on Tuesday started dipping into federal pension funds in order to give the Obama administration more credit to pay government bills.

Treasury started suspending reinvestments in a federal pension fund known as the G-Fund in order to avoid hitting the country’s $15.194 trillion debt limit.

“I will be unable to invest fully” the federal employees retirement system fund, beginning Tuesday, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner told Democratic and Republican leaders in Congress.

The House of Representatives is expected to vote Wednesday on the Obama administration’s request to increase the debt limit by $1.2 trillion.

Payroll tax cut: An attempt to Keep the ‘little people’ grateful for a government bearing gifts.

By Nevadastuu via Tea Party Nation

We as a nation are perilously close to the point of no return with regard to taking back our country from the elitist political class that Sarah Palin has so often warned us about. The latest nudge in the direction of total dependency on government came with the passage of the Payroll Tax Cut. It doesn’t matter whether it’s for 2 months or a year, the fact is that it’s putting a lousy $20 a week in the pockets of people that have jobs, many of them very good jobs, at the expense of an already insolvent Social Security coffer. And it’s not going to make a difference to anybody, except perhaps the elitist political class that hopes to buy votes with their magnanimous generosity with other people’s money. The economy will not be stimulated, and the workers will not realize an increase in their standard of living.

The best Obama could do to spin this meaningless gesture was to tell of the father in New Jersey who can now afford to take his daughters out for pizza every Friday night. Oooh, good one Barry! Yet that is good enough for many Americans. They’ll take whatever bone the government throws at them, and be grateful for it, believing that it is being offered out of a sincere concern for the plight of the average peon. The Republicans wouldn’t dare let the extension for that tax cut expire, because the Democrats would play up the ‘no new taxes on the rich, while raising taxes on the middle class’ mantra for all it is worth.

Adding insult to injury, this illusion of caring also offers an extension on long term unemployment benefits. This is the best part. Instead of passing legislation that creates jobs in order to put the long term unemployed back to work, (cut regulations, cut corp tax rate, dump Obamacare, dump the EPA, pass the XK pipeline, decertify public unions, open energy exploration everywhere, etc) the President and his cabal of power mongers prefer to keep the unemployed ever so grateful to their government, by paying them, indefinitely, for doing absolutely nothing.

What is most distressing to me about all of this, is that I am reading comments from many conservatives on FaceBook, who seem to be giving up, and resigning themselves to the idea of Obama’s re-election. These are not the Strong, Proud Americans of just a few short years ago, these are people who are succumbing to the brainwashing of the Obama Media Group, aka the MSM. These are Americans who have already become Europeanized. I want to take these people and slap them across the face and scream “wake up you fools”.

This country belongs to us. Not to Obama, Reid, Pelosi, and Boehner. Don’t ever give up the fight for the USA. We will win in November, no matter who our nominee is. And just as important, we need to replace the Bulk of the Congress with people like Allen West, Marco Rubio, Michelle Bachmann, and other true Tea Party Patriots. Stay strong, stay positive, and stay involved!
