Obama Admin skewers numbers for “Green Jobs” – Watch them squirm!

“If you sweep the floor at a solar panel facility, is that considered a green job?” Congressman Darrell E. Issa   “Yes.”

Government official confirms that Obama Administration definition of “green jobs” include such things are putting gas into a school bus, driving a school bus, working at a bicycle shop, or working at a used record shop.

Freedom Vs. Socialism

By  via Western Journalism

Since Barack Obama has no respect for America or Americans, he will doubtlessly announce that the October 2012 unemployment rate is about 6.5% or some other ridiculous lie. Does it make any difference? Not really, because he and the Charlie McCarthy dummy who is posing as our Vice President won’t be able to survive the reality of what they have done to us since January 2009.

The problems Obama will face are growing, not subsiding.

In just the last month, the pump price of gasoline has risen .20 a gallon.  While this is bad enough, it is still worse because it put the price at a level higher than it has been in February since 1981. The reason for the rise is totally out of Obama’s control; he can’t lie his way out of it. The Iranians want to squeeze the Europeans who are already looking at $8.00 a gallon gas, so they are denying France and England oil.

The Europeans will come here to buy their gasoline because our $3.52 per gallon looks great!  When they do our price will go up whether we car pool, drive less, decide we won’t buy from this company or that company or not.  The price of gas on January 19, 2009 was $1.85.

The percentage of those who are unemployed who have been unemployed for 6 months or more has gone from 16% to 45.1 % . Never since the Great Depression has it been that high.

All of the following measurements of our national misery are presented as “On Obama’s Inauguration Day” compared to today.  These numbers come from The Senate Republican Conference.

The raw number of unemployed Americans: 12.05 million to 12.76 million. +710,000

Americans living in poverty: 39.8 million to 46.2 million. +6.4 million

American receiving Food Stamps 32 million to 46 million +14million

Misery Index (An index combining the unemployment rate and inflation rate) 7.8 to 11.3 up 45%

Federal debt 10.6 TRILLION DOLLARS to 15.4 TRILLION DOLLARS up 44%

Federal debt assigned to each American $34,731 up to $49,058

Cost of health insurance costs per employed worker $3,354 to $4,129

College tuition $6,591 up to $8,244 an increase of 25%

The total number of available jobs 133.6 million down to 132.4 a loss of 1.2 million jobs

The value of the average American’s home $169,700 down to $147,800

No amount of phony statistics or lies can cover holes this big.

Obama’s Phony Recovery

By Dick Morris

President Obama, faced with no recovery from the recession as he enters an election year, has come up with a handy political gimmick: Fake the statistics.

The economic data that portend recovery are totally and completely inventions of Obama’s political operation. The reality is that no recovery is taking place!

Economist James Fitzgibbon, of the Highlander Fund, explains how cooked the economic statistics on which the president bases his claims of recovery really are.

Begin with “gains” in the stock market. Fitzgibbon explains that they are no indication of changes in the public mood because the public isn’t doing the investing anymore. He notes that HFT (high frequency trade computers) now “account for 80 percent [of the market's] daily business. No one else is left because they lost their money in 2008 and the public has fled the market … Total NYSE volume is 67 percent lower on average than in 2008. Volume is 29 percent lower this year compared to 2011. The prices [have] no serious meaning.”

Have consumers, as alleged, started borrowing again? Not really. Fitzgibbon explains that “credit use has surged only because the Obama administration changed the student loan program to a direct program and those loans are now counted as part of this metric. It is not comparable to anything prior to 2011.” And, he adds ominously, “massive credit card use as measured against actual verifiable sales shows the increase is in borrowed funds to pay for food! Not my idea of a healthy sign.”

How about lower unemployment figures? Fitzgibbon says they are a “joke.” He says that the Bureau of Labor Statistics has “completely changed the … metrics as of January 2012. None of the current percentages are relatable to anything prior to 2012!” He points out that the January unemployment data are heavily adjusted for “seasonal variations.” He notes that “the actual data [show that the economy] lost 2.7 million jobs in January.” And that’s just the numerator. For the denominator — the number of people in the workforce — the data “also shows about 1.2 million people magically left the workforce.” He says one has to go back to the early 1980s to see labor force participation as low as it is now.

Auto sales? He says “auto sales are when the manufacturer dumps cars and trucks on a dealer. Inventory stuffing! It has no relationship to actual sales to a consumer. Thanks to Obama, GM dealers are drowning in product no one wants to buy. It is a meaningless data point. Only dealer-to-consumer data is useful. It is not showing any growth at all.”

Housing? He says positive news in this sector is unreliable. “The raw data we get shows it is worse than last year and in some regions [the] worst ever since the ’60s.”

So it appears that Obama’s reelection strategy hinges on asking people to believe the data he puts before them rather than the evidence of their own eyes. It won’t work.

Any economic recovery is only publicly noticed eight to 12 quarters after it has taken place. Ask George H.W. Bush, who lost the 1992 election despite very positive economic news at the end of his term. Or ask Clinton, who lost Congress despite two years of favorable job-creation numbers. It takes awhile for the good economic news to sink in. And, when there is no good news, just faked government propaganda, it takes even longer to sink in!

People will understand that Obama’s data are a lie. The economy is not some abstract issue. Real people do not depend on changes in the unemployment-rate data to gauge their mood. They are more interested in whether they can get good jobs themselves. Obama’s attempt to rig the statistics won’t work. Indeed, it is a pathetic attempt.

White House green jobs agenda filled with corruption, say investigators

By , Law Enforcement Examiner via The Examiner

During President Barack Obama’s State of the Union Speech on Tuesday night, he unveiled his so-called “Blueprint” for economic growth and job creation. Unfortunately, Obama said nothing about “ditching” his green agenda which has arguably lost not created employment opportunities.

As President Barack Obama’s disastrous and costly green energy agenda became the focus of a congressional investigation, the administration celebrated the multimillion-dollar “green makeover” of a public housing facility in Washington State

The festivities came on the heels of a major scandal involving a California solar panel company that folded after receiving more than half a billion dollars from the government. The White House helped the bankrupt manufacturer (Solyndra) get the money over the objections of federal budget analysts and news reports have identified one of the company’s major investors as an Obama fundraiser.

The Solyndra scandal has ignited fury among congressional leaders who are chastising the commander-in-chief for responding to an economic recession with a failed “green energy subsidy experiment.” In fact, this week a House committee released a special report blasting the president for wasting nearly $100 billion to create “green jobs.” Undue political influence has determined how much of the money has been disbursed, investigators found

Taking office amidst the worst recession since the Great Depression, President Barack Obama confronted an unemployment crisis by focusing on the promotion of “green jobs.” His goal was to put people to work in ways that improve the environment.

As the President asserted in his inaugural address, “we will act not only to create new jobs but to lay a new foundation for growth.” He continued, “We will harness the sun and the winds and the soil to fuel our cars and run our factories.” This strategy built on his campaign’s championing of green jobs as a means to achieve economic recovery, promising that America would create five million green jobs within ten years.

Sadly for America, nearly three years and billions of taxpayer dollars later, Americans have received very scant return from President Obama’s investment. Recent media coverage resoundingly declared the “green jobs” experiment has been a costly failure, according to Congressman Darryl Issa (R-CA), a conservative lawmaker now chairman of the House of Representatives Oversight Committee.

He cited the efforts of other nations as the rationale to try and subsidize our way to energy independence. Yet, the other nations who tried this experiment have struggled and after nearly three years and billions of spent taxpayer dollars later, the American people have received very little return on President Obama’s signature investment.

The theory behind a “green jobs” fueled recovery is also called into question by numerous sources documenting instances of inappropriate political influence affecting the distribution of government grants. Moreover, the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ efforts to legitimize the notion of “green jobs” by counting these jobs as a unique job category, would create official metrics for the nascent effort.

The Obama Administration’s green energy campaign has been pursued while it simultaneously implemented a regulatory agenda that is choking American businesses and restricting access to abundant domestic natural resources which have traditionally provided cheap energy that supports economic growth.

With unemployment at  8.5 percent, the ill-fated “green jobs” experiment has done little to create jobs or speed recovery; in fact, by many accounts it has destroyed jobs. This is a dangerous strategy that will drastically increase the price consumers pay for energy, hurt economic growth, and restrict job creation.

By sacrificing domestic carbon-based resources upon the altar of an ill-fated “green energy” experiment, the President has put U.S. economic security in jeopardy and wasted billions in taxpayer money at a time when our fiscal health is in peril.

• Three years and nearly a hundred billion dollars later, taxpayers have received little return from President Obama’s investments in “green jobs;”

• Labeling an occupation as a green job does not mean it has any special economic worth;

• The guise of “green jobs” has become a political rallying cry aimed to unite environmentalists and union leaders in a deliberate effort to consolidate an ideologically-based agenda;

• Labor unions are profiting from the many so-called “green” programs because there are often “strings attached” that require hiring union workers, the payment of union-level wages and other mandates;

• Evidence suggests that the Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) has been subjected to undue political influence to advance this agenda and is now using gimmick-accounting methods to count “green jobs” even though the term is vague, poorly defined, and has led to inaccurate counting;

• The metric of a “green job” is nothing more than a propaganda tool designed to provide legitimacy to a pre-determined outcome that benefits a political ideology rather than the economy or the environment;

• The Obama Administration’s “green jobs” agenda has been driven by political favoritism and accusations of pay-to-play relationships benefiting private investors with the security of public loan guarantees, such as in the much-publicized case of Solyndra;

• The Solyndra loan guarantee was further politicized when the federal government’s “investor” standing was subordinated to the interest of a private investor—one who happened to be a prominent Obama fundraiser;

• The President’s effort to force a transition to “green energy” has pursued twin policies of raising the price of fossil fuels and subsidizing “green energy” at the expense of the domestic energy production sector. Domestic oil, gas and coal industries are being choked under a slew of aggressive federal regulations, despite the proven long-term, job-creating record of this industry;

• There exists an undeniable relationship between America’s prosperity and its access to affordable energy sources that if ignored, will setback economic growth;

• The Obama Administration is hypocritical in its energy policy: it promotes traditional energy sources abroad through loans and diplomacy, while openly discouraging it at home;

President Obama relied on the false pretense that subsidizing “green energy” as other nations such as Spain, Germany and Japan did would result in “good, high-wage jobs” when in actuality, nations such as Spain, Italy, Denmark, Germany and the U.K. have struggled with job destruction, higher energy costs and loss of taxpayer dollars as a result of pursuing such policies.

Misinformation 101 – The Jobs Report

By Dr. Ileana Johnson Paugh

My husband and I were browsing through a bookstore yesterday. I spotted a Barack Obama, The Out of Office Countdown Calendar. I read the title to him and a woman’s voice piped from behind, “Isn’t this sad?”

I turned around to see the source of the remark and repeated, “Sad?” She replied, “Yes, very sad, as Martin Luther wrote, better to vote for a good Turk than a bad Christian.

You do know who Martin Luther was, don’t you? Not Dr. Martin Luther King.”

At this point, I was trying very hard to keep my composure and ignore the insults and assaults to my intelligence. I told her, she was mistaken, and I walked away. Fighting with an ignorant liberal in the middle of a bookstore was not my idea of a fun Saturday afternoon.  In the meantime, my husband disappeared behind several bookshelves.

Like any bold and obnoxious liberal, the woman followed me, spewing typical progressive non-sense about the evil Christians and the good Muslims who were slaughtered mercilessly. I did not turn this time, gesturing for her to go away.

We are flooded with lies by the MSM, the progressive academics, the Obama crowd, the Democrat and RINO politicians; the last place I expected to encounter indoctrination into communist talking points was at my local bookstore.

Delusional pro-Muslim and anti-Christian liberals are everywhere, but particularly concentrated in the northeast. An informational takeover and coup of our values and of our country is waged by a small, atheist, anti-American, pro-Muslim minority with an agenda to destroy everything that millions of patriotic Americans have created in 235 years of exceptional history.

Spreading misinformation and communist propaganda is the Modus Operandi of liberals. If sleepy Americans hear the same lies repeated many times, they will believe them to be true.

The Department of Labor released yesterday its jobs report, claiming that 200,000 jobs were created, much more than the 150,000 needed monthly to accommodate a growing population. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the unemployment rate dropped from 8.7 percent to 8.5 percent. What they failed to mention was the fact that over 20 million Americans are unemployed, part-time employed, or no longer counted in the labor force.

The labor force has been traditionally 126 million workers. If we do the simple math, the unemployment rate is closer to 16 percent overall. Some counties in California have 20 percent unemployment. Areas around Detroit, Michigan, claim 40 percent unemployment.

Statistics can be tampered and manipulated to reveal any talking points an individual wishes to make, particularly if a lot is at stake, in this case, the re-election of a failing President. Data is revised up and down all the time in this administration, particularly up, after the intended euphoria of good news has passed. To say that statistics and data reported in the past three years have been disingenuous is an understatement.

The basic unemployment data comes from a monthly survey of 60,000 households conducted by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The results of the survey are extrapolated to the entire U.S. labor force.

The “elephant-in-the-room” problem is that a large percentage of the unemployed are no longer counted if they have not sought work during the previous four weeks, the people no longer exist. These are the discouraged workers. When they give up searching for a job, they are out of the labor force, and the official unemployment rate declines. The magnitude of the problem is thus underestimated by the existence of this “hidden” or “disguised” unemployment.

We are in a severe cyclical unemployment phase driven by poor and inadequate economic policies of the current administration, the expensive prospect of Obamacare, and by federal regulations that limit and sometimes prohibit job creation.

I am not surprised that liberals/progressives/communists misinform Americans. I dislike the attempt to rewrite history and reality on a daily basis. Martin Luther never lived under a Muslim ruler. There is no evidence that he ever said, “I’d rather be ruled by a competent Turk than an incompetent Christian.” Scholarship disputes the claim made by Hubert Morken in “Pat Robertson – Where He Stands,” on p. 42 in which he attributes the comment to Martin Luther without any citation. As you saw, the liberal stranger I encountered had totally transformed the supposed quote to tailor her agenda. I studied Martin Luther, his 95 theses, I speak German, and I never saw such a quote.

I take any information from liberal and conservative leaders or individuals, in reference to historical, literary, political, geographical, or economic data with a large spoon of salt.
