Obama’s Lies Unravel in Congressional Hearing on Libya 9/11 Attack

By Joel B. Pollak via Breitbart

Today’s congressional hearing on the Sep. 11, 2012 attacks across the Middle East, that killed the U.S. ambassador to Libya and three other Americans in Benghazi, have destroyed the Obama administration’s lies about the event. There was not enough security in Benghazi, despite repeated requests; there was no preparation for the attacks, despite intelligence and warning signs; and the assault in Libya had nothing to do with an anti-Islamic video, as President Barack Obama and his appointees had claimed for weeks.

On the eve of the hearings, the State Department claimed not to have linked the Libya attack to an anti-Islamic video made in the United States–although Secretary of State Hillary Clinton did so in television advertisements the State Department produced for Pakistani television, and UN Ambassador Susan Rice told the media over and over again that the attacks had been part of a spontaneous demonstration of outrage across the region. Numerous requests for additional security in Benghazi had been ignored by the diplomats at Foggy Bottom.

The White House, meanwhile, finally discarded the “video” narrative to which it had clung for weeks, in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary–but not before the filmmaker had been arrested in the dead of night at his home on the pretext of a parole violation, and not before President Obama devoted the bulk of his September address to the United Nations to condemning the video and defamation of Islam and Muhammad.

The new White House line is that poor intelligence led it to an erroneous conclusion about the video–even though that claim is contradicted by the State Department’s own claims about what it knew about the attacks.

Both the White House and the State Department were adamant in their criticism of the video in the hours after demonstrators scaled the walls of the U.S. embassy in Cairo, as well as in the weeks thereafter, though the White House claimed–through an unnamed source in Politico–to have denounced the embassy’s apologies.

In one of today’s hearing’s more memorable–and ignoble–exchanges, Rep. Darrell Issa took umbrage at State Department Official for Embassy Security Charlene Lamb’s assertion that “We had the correct number of assets in Benghazi at the time of 9/11 for what had been agreed upon.” Issa retorted that her claim “doesn’t seem to ring true to the American people.” Nor, indeed, did it comport with other evidence presented to the hearing, including Lt. Col, Andrew Wood, who once headed U.S. security in Libya and testified that there had been serious deficiencies in embassy security, and that it had never been protected with the necessary resources.

Obama Admin skewers numbers for “Green Jobs” – Watch them squirm!

“If you sweep the floor at a solar panel facility, is that considered a green job?” Congressman Darrell E. Issa   “Yes.”

Government official confirms that Obama Administration definition of “green jobs” include such things are putting gas into a school bus, driving a school bus, working at a bicycle shop, or working at a used record shop.

Congressional Democrats abandoning party line en masse to support efforts to hold administration accountable for Operation Fast and Furious.

By Matthew Boyle via The Daily Caller

Congressional Democrats are abandoning their party line en masse to support  efforts to hold the administration accountable for Operation  Fast and Furious.

In another sign of bipartisanship on Fast and Furious accountability, 142  House Democrats backed an amendment from Utah Republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz  Wednesday, which prevents the Department of Justice from  using taxpayer funds to lie to Congress. Though 41 Democrats voted against it,  the bipartisan support could be a sign that frustration over the administration  stonewalling on Fast and Furious transcends party lines.

Chaffetz pitched  House Democrats in a feisty House floor speech before the vote to join him in  demanding accountability. He argued that Attorney General Eric Holder’s failure  to comply with the Fast and Furious congressional subpoena is anything but a  partisan political fight. He said it’s an issue of separation of powers between  the legislative and executive branches, and that all Americans “should be  embarrassed by what’s happening in Fast and Furious.”

“If we get stonewalling on the other side of the aisle, without your support,  we will do a disservice to this country, we will do a disservice to this body  and we will not get to the truth,” Chaffetz said on the House floor on  Wednesday. “I promise you, when that becomes a Republican president, I will  stand with you and demand the openness and transparency that this body deserves.  I’ve done it; I’ve challenged my own party, I have the guts, I have the  fortitude to do the right thing.”

Chaffetz challenged the House Democrats to come forward and help him, House  Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. Darrell Issa and others: “This is the test of  principle, this is the test of integrity, and when you can’t stand up and take  on your own party, that’s a lack of guts,” Chaffetz said. “This Congress has got  to stand up for itself and demand that these documents be released.”

In the end, when the House voted, Chaffetz got his bipartisan support.

That support comes on the heels of Indiana Democratic Rep. Joe Donnelly’s outspoken  public support for Issa’s move to enforce the subpoena Holder has thus far  failed to comply with.

Issa served Holder a subpoena on Oct. 12, 2011. Holder has thus far failed to  comply with all 22 categories of the subpoena that requires him to provide  Congress with documents relating to Fast and Furious. With 13 of the categories,  Holder has  provided no documents. When it comes to the other nine subpoena categories,  Holder is still far  from compliant, as TheDC reported late last week.

Other Democrats have  refused to  defend Holder amid the scandal, and even more  have criticized how their own party’s administration has handled it.

Friday document dump: Holder’s DOJ releases more on ‘Fast and Furious’

By Matthew Boyle via the Daily Caller

In what has become a pattern, Attorney General Eric  Holder dumped more documents related to Operation  Fast and Furious on congressional investigators late Friday.

Terry Frieden of CNN reported that Holder coughed up “hundred of pages” of  documents. Assuming that means Holder did not produce more than 1,000 documents,  the Justice Department is still far from compliance with lawful congressional  subpoenas.

Republican Rep. Darrell Issa, chairman of the House Committee on Oversight  and Government Reform, has subpoenaed 80,000 pages of documents concerning  Fast and Furious. Holder has only provided about 7,000 pages. He has, however,  given all 80,000 to his internal investigator — DOJ’s Office of Inspector  General.

Issa has laid the groundwork to hold Holder in contempt of Congress in the  near future if he doesn’t comply with the subpoenas.

Frieden also reported that few of the documents Holder dumped on Congress are  actually related to Fast and Furious.

“Most of the documents deal with a 2007 operation involving Fidel Hernandez,  who the ATF believed would be prosecuted for gun violations in Mexico by Mexican  authorities,” Frieden wrote.

According to congressional Democrats on the House oversight committee, in the “Hernandez case” ATF agents, working with Mexican police, planned to track  illegal weapons as they left the United States all the way to their final  destination. But Mexican police reported they never saw the vehicle that ATF  agents had followed to the border. (RELATED:  Full coverage of Operation Fast and Furious)

By contrast, in Fast and Furious, President Barack Obama’s administration  intentionally let guns fall into the hands of criminals and did not let Mexico’s  government know of the plan.

The U.S. government lost track of the guns as soon as ATF agents let them “walk,” or end up in the hands of straw buyers — people who legally purchase  weapons in the U.S. before illegally passing them off to arms traffickers. Known  drug cartel criminals ended up getting a hold of the weapons and, at that point,  the only place ATF agents could recover the weapons was at crime scenes.

When Mexican drug cartels commit murders, it’s a common practice for them to  leave the firearms they used in the killings at the scene of the crime.

This latest document dump comes on the heels of Senate Majority Leader Harry  Reid, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Democratic National Committee  chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz throwing  their public support behind Holder — all while the DNC itself dissembled  and attacked The Daily Caller for pressing the political party for answers  about the Fast and Furious scandal.

What could go wrong in a second Obama presidential term?

By , Tupelo Tea Party Examiner via The Examiner

What could go wrong?

I remember a movie from 1969 named “100 Rifles”.  Burt Reynolds plays  Yaqui Joe, an Indian who robs a bank in order to buy guns for his people who are  being savagely repressed by the government. Set in turn of the century Mexico,  it tells the story of his flight into Mexico and his pursuit by an American  lawman. They eventually become allies and team up with Raquel Welch to take up  the cause of the Indians.

The funny thing about this movie is that it is the perfect doppelganger to  the Fast and Furious Operation that was recently perpetrated by the DOJ and  BATFE.  How so, you say?  Let’s rewrite the script a little, well, ok,  a lot!

Yaqui Joe, played by Eric Holder, a rebel leader robs the government to pay  for illegal guns for the rebels of another country who are savagely suppressing  their own government and murdering Yaqui Joe’s own people without fear of  prosecution.  Set in “turn of the modern century” Mexico and the US, it  tells the story of the fight against him and the cover-up initiated by those  under his supervision, and the struggle of one lawman, Darryl Issa, to bring  them all to justice.  It is eventually learned that the President has long  been allied with Yaqui Joe, and the two team up with DOJ official Patrick  Cunningham to plead the Fifth Amendment to avoid incriminating themselves in  response to a bevy of subpoenas House oversight committee chairman Rep. Darrell  Issa has served on them that will compel them to appear before Congress about  Fast and Furious.

What could go wrong with a plan to surreptitiously use federal moneys to buy  illegal guns and pass them to a known criminal element with a penchant for  murdering innocent people, selling drugs, and waging war against its own  government and all authority?  What could go wrong with a plan like  that?

Answer:  Everything!

One would think that since Cunningham has been the chief of the criminal  division of the Arizona U.S. Attorney’s office in Phoenix for the past two  years, he would be a likely person to have first-hand knowledge of the  operation.  Issa has said that he has information indicating Cunningham was  instrumental in the approval of the gun walking scheme.

Cunningham has been refusing to testify before Congress about  Fast and Furious.  It is apparent that Cunningham does have pertinent  information.  When someone pleads the Fifth Amendment, is has historically  been a sign that there has been foul play.

Two sitting governors, every major Republican presidential candidate, and  eighty nine congressmen have given or committed to actions that demand for Eric  Holder, head of the DOJ, resign.  This is the head of the government agency  responsible for upholding the laws of the nation.  Yet a major portion of  government has no confidence in his ability, and or his honesty.

At least 300 people in Mexico were killed with Fast and Furious weapons, as  was Border Patrol agent Brian Terry. The identities of the Mexican victims are  unknown. Allegations have surfaced that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement  agent Jaime Zapata was also killed with Fast and Furious weapons.

Cunningham is resigning on in late January to take another job.  One has  to wonder who would possibly hire a person who is on the verge of being the  target of a criminal investigation .

More than 1,400 of the weapons are still unaccounted for.

Two AK-47s from a gun shop in Glendale, Ariz., were discovered at the site of  the shooting death of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian A. Terry.  Terry was  killed during a Dec. 14, 2010, gunfight with Mexican bandits just north of the  border near Nogales, Ariz.

Now, these are the people, some of the people, that the current president has  put in office, Obama minions that have put their own interest above those of the  nation they are sworn to serve.  Barack Obama wants you to vote for him  again in the upcoming election.

Contrast this story and others like that of Solyndra, where some half a  billion US tax dollars were loaned on possibly fraudulent terms, with the  campaign promises made by Obama in the last election.  Did Obama actually  do anything he promised?  Or, did he do as he pleased, aided and abetted by  a Democrat-controlled Congress, in forcing on the American people a plan to  socialize a significant portion of the US economy, and possibly bankrupt the  government.

As I said, he wants to be reelected.  So, what could go wrong in a  second term for Obama?  What could go wrong?  What could go wrong with  continuing to trust this man?

Answer:  Everything!

Holder – A Hostile Witness?

Posted by Marcia Wood on Tea Party Nation

How do we remove Holder from office, although much of this information is repetitious Holder is getting away with murder!

It looks like Eric Holder does in fact knows how to step above the law and get off scot free from his personal involvement with the Fast and Furious operation. Eric’s first move to hold Darrell Issa and Chuck Grassley at bay was to start a DOJ investigation into the gun operation. Obama & Napolitano would describe this as a brilliant move since the heat in the kitchen was getting too hot for them.

Here’s what Eric did he gave Justice Department Inspector General Cynthia Schnedar her marching orders and told her to begin an investigation of possible wrongdoing in Operation Fast and Furious. Eric had one thing in mind – by ordering this investigation he could pick and choose what questions he would or wouldn’t answer when under oath. He avoided the legal necessity of providing documentation, because as he says the DOJ has an ongoing investigation at the same time.

We’ve suffered through the Holder “cat and mouse” game for over a year now and from all appearances he’s about to walk free as a bird. He’s protected himself with a legal gimmick that seems to be working – the fact that DOJ is doing their independent investigation has allowed him to black out the body of emails requested by Issa and Grassley. Each time he’s testifies under oath about the Fast and Furious operation has been nothing but an elaborate bunch of legal theatrics reminiscent of the movie Chicago.

Although, it’s been proven that Holder has lied under oath, that doesn’t seem to expedite Issa’s investigation; in fact it just delays proceedings. We’re actually witnessing those who are involved with this illegal operation getting one after another “get out of jail” free card.

Holder will testify one more time on February 2, 2012 and at this time there’s no reason to belief that he will be anything but a hostile witness. There are certain facts that are true and can be verified on the Department of Justice and CBS websites.

a. Obama specifically funded 10,000,000 to the Fast and Furious operation in 2009.

b. Holder and Napolitano met with Mexican authorities and elaborated on the operation in April 2009.

c. Holder was the one orchestration the operation and discussed publicly how he would enlarge the operation.

d. Napolitano & Holder ironed out the details of the operation as a team

e. When Issa & Grassley started the investigation into the Fast and Furious gunrunner operation, Holder and ATF removed the key people involved at ATF shuffling them off to Washington D.C. where they could be observed. Each one was assigned a new title and some received some perks.

f. CBS posted memos showing that Eric Holder was aware and involved of the operation. Here is the CBS site: http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-31727_162-20115038-10391695.html?tag=co…

g. Holder and Napolitano lied under oath h. AIG warned Holder, the ATF, DHS of the many problems with the operation in 2010 Information as to time and events:

http://www.americanthinker.com/2011/10/fast_and_furious_in_a_rotten…

There’s more to this story, but this is enough to demonstrate the uncanny way Holder remains the Attorney General of our USA even though he was a key player along with Obama in an attempt to take our gun rights away. One person funded the Operation (Obama,) Two people orchestrated the gunrunner operation (Holder and Napolitano) and ATF and DHS followed the directives from Holder putting the operation in full swing. Hundreds killed no one is responsible.

The Office of the Inspector General has a completed full report on their findings of the Fast and Furious gunrunner operation. The question is this – did the OIG share their findings with Holder, the DOJ, ATF and DHS in advance allowing them to get all of their “ducks in a row?” Will the OIG report come out before Holder testifies on February 2, 2012?

Did Eric Holder manage to sweep everything under the rug? What have we become – a Nation of corruption and murder or will the laws of our land prevail? Only time will tell, but we’re all accountable for the deaths of two of our Border Agents and hundreds of Mexican men, women and children and we must insist that those who are responsible be placed behind bars. Holder needs to be the first one in line to be removed from his position.

Eric Holder Lied

The DOJ, OIG, ATF all know about the “Fast and Furious” gunrunner operation. During an intense investigation by Darrell Issa’s team (House Oversight and Government Reform Committee) yesterday no one asked the 64 dollar question, “Who was in charge of the project gunrunner?” Eric Holder has stonewalled the ongoing investigation for almost a year now – Darrell Issa and Senator Grassley have caught him in lies and yet he appears to be above the laws of our land because he totes a pocket full of “get out of jail free” cards. Today he tried a new ploy saying, the DOJ had never lied – now that statement my friends is up for grabs.

Eric Holder’s testimony today was a replay of how he keeps kicking the can down the road; he’s been kicking it for so many months that we’re all weary of hearing him testify. Today Holder admitted under oath that he hasn’t handed over all requested documents; he also admitted many have and will be harmed from the guns that walked across our border into the hands of the Mexican drug cartel. But in a scramble to cover his backside, Holder had the Justice Department request that information on a letter last February 2011 be disregarded because it had inaccurate information concerning the Fast and Furious Gunrunner operation. How sweet it is that the DOJ can lie and then weasel out of their written testimony if and when they are so inclined!

In May 3rd, 2011 under oath, Holder responded to the question, “When did you first know about the Fast and Furious operation?” Holder said,” he guessed over the last few weeks.” This was a blatant lie as you’ll see in the remaining information of this article.

Holder knew about the “Fast and Furious” gunrunner operation early on in 2009. He received money for the program and bragged about the Fast and Furious gunrunner program in a speech on April 2, 2009 in Cuernavaca, Mexico to Mexican authorities. Here’s a portion of the speech or go to the URL below for the speech in its entirety.

Last week, our administration launched a major new effort to break the backs of the cartels. My department is committing 100 new ATF personnel to the Southwest border in the next 100 days to supplement our ongoing Project Gunrunner, DEA is adding 16 new positions on the border, as well as mobile enforcement teams, and the FBI is creating a new intelligence group focusing on kidnapping and extortion. DHS is making similar commitments, as Secretary Napolitano will detail.”

http://www.justice.gov/ag/speeches/2009/ag-speech-090402.html

The OIG (Office of the Inspector General) knew about the gunrunner program and gave everyone a heads up as verified in their report October 2010 thru March 2011. Here’s a portion of the OIG’s report. This report is on the DOJ website – just do a search for Fast and Furious gunrunner. Here’s what the OIG stated in their written report prior to the murder of Brain Terry.

“In addition to our ongoing review of Operation Fast and Furious, in November 2010 we completed a review of ATF’s overall management of Project Gunrunner. Our review found poor coordination and collaboration, and inadequate information sharing between ATF and other Department components, and between ATF and units of the Mexican government. “OIG offered 15 recommendations.”

In 2009, Obama funded 10,000,000 to Holder for this program H.R. 1 – 16. Here is the exact wording in the bill: 10,000,000 shall be transferred to Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, salaries and expenses for the ATF Project Gunrunner.

The Obama, the DOJ and ATF have played a dangerous chess game of cat and mouse in one of the most deadly and corrupt operations in our Nation’s history. Brian Terry (Border Agent) and Jaime Zapata (U.S. Special Agent) have been murdered along with 100’s of Mexican men, women and children. Yet, Obama, Holder, the DOJ and ATF deny any wrong doing and no one seems to be accountable.

What we do know, in 2009 Obama deliberately used 10,000,000 of our stimulus money specifying that it go to the “Fast and Furious” operation. Eric Holder bragged about the money and Fast and Furious operation in 2009 in his speech at Cuernavaca, Mexico. The “top dogs” at ATF have mysteriously either received promotions or were assigned new cushy jobs in DC in an attempt to cover Holder’s tracks.

Darrell Issa said they’ve made a crisis, meaning the “Fast and Furious” gunrunner operation to attack our 2nd Amendment and restrict our gun rights. So far the whistle blowers are the ones who have suffered and been punished; they fear for their lives and their families’ safety.

Two questions remain, (1) Why is Eric Holder still in office and (2) Who are the responsible person or persons in charge of the gunrunner operation?

May God Bless Our Nation
