The Democrats’ Conundrum

By Kevin Jackson via The Black Sphere

Kevin Jackson

As the election of 2012 approaches the Left becomes more desperate.  For the first time in his adult life Obama has to deal with the reality that he’s Barack Obama. And being Barack Obama has created a real conundrum for the Democrats.

Obama wanted to play president, not be president. And the real Barack Obama is anything but a confident competent winner.

Those who did not support Obama tried to sound the warning bell about Obama severe lack of well, everything. Obama lacked experience, and continues to lack character, integrity, and a love of the America that has taken over 200 years to build.

Now Democrats must face the reality of their creation, just like I did when I found out that Fonzi is not the cool Italian of Happy Days, but instead is a whiny Jewish guy named Winkler. Obama v2.0 doesn’t just reveal his vulnerabilities; he exposes the abject lunacy of the Left.

The scary thing for Democrats is they went all in on Obama. They spent so much time propping up their puppet, believing that style would prevail over substance. But Obama failed miserably, and the Democrats have no succession planning.

Hillary can’t run this election unless they abandon the “not so golden boy.”  I suspect that Hillary is smart enough not to want to run this election anyway, unless she has a defense to combat Obama and the Democrats’ scorched earth project.

The sad truth is that Hillary has two chances for a run in 2016: Slim and none.  Despite all the tolerance that Democrats supposedly have, they will not elect an old “rode hard put up wet” white woman to the presidency.  Don’t believe me; it already happened…in 2008.

Recall that Hillary was all the buzz in 2008, that is until the Democrats found an “articulate and clean” candidate with “no Negro dialect.” The Democrats dated Hillary, until they found somebody they deemed cuter.

Obama was perfect for the rebirth of radical Regressivism, sure to continue punishing minorities.

“We will have them n*ggers voting Democrats for 200 years!” – LBJ – Democrat ICON

But the strategy backfired, because Obama was supposed to be at the very least “ok.” Obama is ok, if you like that America is now fighting for Third World status.

The walls surrounding Obama are crumbling from within. Right-wing conspirers need not apply and the Republican machine has been switched off.  It’s the Democrats who are destroying Obama, which is one reason why the Obama administration is panicked.

Who leaked the recent story that Barack Obama was raised by a gay, transsexual, prostitute nanny, affectionately called “Tranny Nanny” by the media? Republicans didn’t have a clue… or they would have brought up Tranny Nanny in 2008.

And if that’s not bad enough for Obama, the media, repeat the MEDIA ran with the story.  It appears that in 2012, the media loves a salacious story about Obama’s past, more than they love Obama. The idea that Obama might be just a bit mixed up in the cabeza has been allowed to float in “the cloud.” God-forbid we actually get to see Obama’s grades or a new and improved birth certificate?

A recent poll has Obama dropping by 12 points with women; repeat, WOMEN! The same women who wanted to take Obama home to daddy—“HE’S HALF WHITE TOO DADDY”—are now abandoning Obama like last year’s fashions.

It doesn’t take a psychic to see the future for Obama. He sees it, and you can bet he’s throwing hissy fits all over the White House, as he contemplates updating his resume.  Obama is so desperate to keep his position[1] that he recently made a Truth Team declaration, saying that he has drilled for more oil than any other president. Obama wants America to believe that he is the Fossil Fuel President.

Forget that Obama has said publicly that he wants to destroy the coal industry. He publicly battles with “Big Oil” dirty revenue, and wouldn’t allow the Keystone Pipeline to happen or allow drilling on Federal land; but he’s now the Fossil Fuel president.

Meanwhile back at the algae farm, Obama discussed removing oil company subsidies, as he doubled down on failed green energy failures, boondoggles, and payola to same.

Instead of forming African-Americans for Obama, Obama should have formed: “White People Please Give Me One More Chance?”

Obama is reneging on his declaration that if he didn’t have things on track in three years, he should be a one-term president. For the good of the country. No sane people expected an incompetent megalomaniac to really live up to that declaration, now did we?

Two things have saved Obama to date:  The media and Obama’s “blackness.” Had it not been for either, Obama’s choices would have been impeachment or resignation. Wait, there is a third choice…Jail.

America has become so politically correct that despite the president being “black,” he can still run on the “I’m a victim of racism” ticket. But that’s changing and its vexes the Left.

The black president has been in charge, and America is worse off; we are all victims of Obama. Obama owns whatever America has become, because leaders must take credit or blame, regardless of the circumstances. Obama can’t admit he is not a leader over the worst America in decades. That is the Democrats’ conundrum.

[1] Note I didn’t say “job” because Obama wants the position, not the work.

Netanyahu Controls Obama’s Fate

By Dick Morris And Eileen McGann via Dick Morris

If Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to seal President Obama’s fate, all he has to do is to attack Iran. It is clear from Obama’s AIPAC speech that the president will continue to talk about diplomacy and sanctions for the remainder of his term and will take no military action against Iran. If Israel attacks Iran, she will achieve three things:

a. Israel will buy time by delaying the Iranian nuclear program by one to three years.

b. Those extra years will give the effective sanctions, only now being imposed, time to work.

c. The resulting increase in the price of oil – and its impact on the American economy – will doom Obama’s re-election chances, assuring that a pro-Israeli Republican Administration takes power.

With a Republican in the White House and in control of Congress, Israel will be well positioned to derail permanently the Iranian nuclear program.

Obama could never recover from the run-up of oil prices that would follow an Israeli attack. His refusal to approve the Keystone Pipeline, to drill in the ANWR reserve, and to issue permits for deep sea drilling, all make him ultra-vulnerable on the gas price issue. He has no good answers on the subject.

A huge increase in gas prices at the pump will also send the world into the same kind of oil shock as happened in 1973 and 1979, each of which was followed by a global recession in reaction. Obama would not be able to be re-elected amid the tidal wave of bad economic news he would face.

How ironic that Netanyahu, therefore, really controls Obama’s fate. He can’t re-elect his sworn enemy (I doubt anyone can do that) but he can defeat him and likely will do so.

Netanyahu has to face the fundamental fact that Israel cannot survive another four years of an Obama presidency. Freed of the constraints that the need to get re-elected imposes, the president’s anti-Israel and pro-Palestinian bias will come out in virulent form with likely lethal implications for Israel. If Bibi lets Obama get re-elected, he will be dooming the Jewish State to extinction.

All the evidence indicates that he understands his choices and will respond accordingly. At least we hope so.

15 Questions The Mainstream Media Would Ask Barack Obama If He Were A Republican

By Jeff Carter via Towhnhall Finance

If you deny that there is liberal bias in the mainstream media, you are living under a rock. We saw George Stephanopolos take marching orders into debate questioning.

The only thing they don’t ask Republican candidates about much is economic questions and debt questions. Instead they ask horribly slanted, often irrelevant questions designed to make them look bad and help Obama. We’ve heard questions about contraceptives, religion, Newt’s angry ex-wife, Cain’s employees, Romney’s personal wealth, Gardasil, etc. Newt’s rise was because of the way he attacked the media and Obama in the debates because of the stupid and obviously planted questions.

So, what would happen if the mainstream media treated Barack Obama the exact same way they treat Republicans? The questions might sound a little something like this.

1) Numerous Mexican citizens and an American citizen have been murdered with weapons knowingly provided to criminals by our own government during Operation Fast and Furious. If Eric Holder was aware that was going on, do you think he should step down as Attorney General? Were you aware of Fast and Furious and if so, shouldn’t you resign?

2) In 2010 you said Solyndra, a company that donated heavily to your political campaign, was “leading the way toward a brighter and more prosperous future.” Today, Solyndra is bankrupt and the taxpayers lost over $500 million on loans that your administration knew might never be paid off when you made them. How do you respond to citizens who say this is evidence of corruption in your administration?

3) Unions invested a lot of time and money in helping to get you elected. In return, unions gained majority control of Chrysler, the taxpayers lost $14 billion dollars on General Motors, and General Motors received a special $45 billion dollar tax break. What do you say to people who view this as corruption on a scale never before seen in American history?

4) Through dubious means you and your Democrat allies in Congress managed to force through an incredibly unpopular health care bill that helped lead to the worst election night for the Democrat Party in 50 years. Since the bill has passed, many of your claims about the bill have proven to be untrue. For example, we now know the bill won’t lower health care costs and despite your assurances to the contrary, big companies like McDonald’s say they may drop health care because of the health care reform. Congress has exempted themselves from the health care reform and instead has their own taxpayer-funded premium health care plan. Many large companies (that donate to Democrat political campaigns) have received special exemptions from the health care plan. Since the majority of the American people have rejected your health care reform and it doesn’t do what you said it would, shouldn’t you work with the Republicans to repeal it?

5) When you took office, the national average for one gallon of gas was $1.89 per gallon. Since then, you’ve demonized the oil industry, dramatically slowed offshore drilling, blocked ANWAR, and rejected the Keystone Pipeline. Now, gas is $3.54 per gallon and rising and is expected to reach $5 per gallon by May of this year. How much higher do you anticipate driving gas prices?

6) Occupy Wall Street has been protesting against Wall Street and the richest 1 percent in America. You are in the top 1 percent of income earners in America and you have collected more cash from Wall Street than any other President in history. So, aren’t you exactly the sort of politician that Occupy Wall Street wants to get rid of?

7) How do you decide which foreign leaders to submissively bow towards and why do you think that’s appropriate for an American President?

8) If they could, don’t you think the Nobel Committee would take back the Nobel Peace Prize that you were awarded after serving just one month in office?

9) You made bipartisanship one of the central themes of your campaign in 2008. Yet, you’ve worked to push bills through Congress with almost no Republican support, spent much less time negotiating with Congress than George Bush did, and you’ve said things like, “But, I don’t want the folks who created the mess to do a lot of talking. I want them to get out of the way so we can clean up the mess. I don’t mind cleaning up after them, but don’t do a lot of talking.” Why did you decide to break your campaign promise to pursue bipartisanship?

10) America lost its AAA credit rating for the first time under your watch. What do you think you should have done differently to have prevented that historic failure?

11) You cut more than 500 billion dollars out of Medicare to fund your wildly unpopular health care reform bill. Given that Medicare is running in the red already, don’t you think it’s irresponsible to cut money out of one entitlement program, that millions of seniors depend on — to put it into a risky new entitlement program?

12) Back in July, you said, “Nobody’s looking to raise taxes right now. We’re talking about potentially 2013 and the out years.” Since you plan to raise taxes if you’re elected and you’ve had kind words for a value added tax, shouldn’t every American expect a tax increase if you’re reelected?

13) Why should the American people reelect you when your 10 year budget saddles America with more debt than all previous Presidents combined?

14) Your stimulus bill cost more in real dollars than the moon landing and the interstate highway system combined. Many prominent economists have concluded the stimulus plan was a total failure. What do we have to show for all of that money spent?

15) Members of your administration promised that the trillion dollar stimulus would keep unemployment under 8 percent. Instead, we’ve had 35+ months of 8% and above unemployment. Doesn’t that mean we wasted a trillion dollars on nothing?

White House Press Secretary: Obama didn’t cancel Keystone pipeline, GOP did

By , Spokane Conservative Examiner, via The Examiner

English: Jay Carney giving a press briefing.

According to White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, President Obama didn’t  cancel the Keystone XL pipeline – Republicans did.

Carney made the claim on Tuesday, after saying that Republicans  “forced” the President to cancel the permit for the pipeline.

“In terms of Keystone, as you all know, the history here is pretty clear. And  the fact is because Republicans decided to play political with Keystone, their  action essentially forced the administration to deny the permit process because  they insisted on a time frame in which it was impossible to completely approve  the pipeline,” he told ABC’s Jake Tapper.

“How can you say that you have an all of the above approach if the President  turned down the Keystone pipeline? And you blame the Republicans for making it  political,” Tapper asked.

Carney responded: “But the President didn’t turn down the Keystone pipeline.  There was a process in place, with long precedent, run out of the State  Department because of the issue of the pipeline crossing an international  boundary, that required an amount of time for proper for review after an  alternate route was deemed necessary through Nebraska at the request of the  Republican Governor of Nebraska and other stakeholders in Nebraska and the  region that needed to play out, to be done appropriately. You can’t review and  approve a pipeline, the route for which doesn’t even exist.”

A post at the conservative blog Hot Air notes:

Essentially Carney wants you to believe that if Obama’s environmentalist  allies had told him the postponement was unacceptable, O would have shrugged and  said, “Oh well. State’s gotta do what State’s gotta do.” What ended up happening  was that, after the decision was postponed, the House GOP squeezed Democrats on  the payroll-tax extension until they agreed to include a provision requiring the  White House to make a firm decision on the pipeline within 60 days. O’s decision, of course, was  to cancel it, ostensibly because “the arbitrary nature of the deadline” left  State with little time to consider greener pipeline routers but in reality  because he’s not about to alienate a core constituency in the middle of the  campaign money war to end all campaign money wars. Not even the NYT op-ed page is willing to spin this  crap for him. But then, they don’t get paid to. Well, not by the White House, I  mean. I think.

Republicans have attacked Obama’s decision to cancel the pipeline that would  have created thousands of jobs.

The Daily Caller noted:

Rising gas prices threaten to derail Obama’s re-election campaign as they  remind voters of the stalled economy, high unemployment and rising national  debts. The pain of the rising price is especially strong in Midwest swing states  where voters drive long distances between their homes, shops and work.

On Tuesday, conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh said the “dirty little secret”  is that Obama wants high gas prices.

“High gas prices will push people out of their cars and into electric cars  and hybrids, mass transit. A high gasoline price is exactly what Obama wants.  Obama wants pain. He wants interruptions to normalcy,” Limbaugh said.

Now that Obama’s record on domestic energy is coming under scrutiny by  Republicans, the White House seeks to blame Republicans for something the  President himself did – a familiar tactic.

“The Republicans were the ones who unfortunately decided because they were  looking for scalps, I guess, or wins in a situation where they somehow found  themselves on the wrong side of cutting taxes for 160 million Americans last  December,” Carney said, seeking to blame the GOP.

“They decided to play politics with this decision and attack the payroll  tax cut extension. Even though it was made clear by the State Department that  doing so would make it impossible for them to conduct the review responsibly,  they did it anyway knowing what the result would be,” he added.

But during the time Republicans were pushing the issue, President Obama was  telling America “we can’t wait” to produce jobs.  The president was given a  program that would create thousands of jobs, but balked.  Suddenly, “we  can’t wait” turned into “not so fast.”

Now, thanks to Obama’s inaction, thousands of jobs are not being created  and the price of gas continues to climb.  According to an article at Forbes, gas prices could hit $6 per gallon by summer, and  thanks to Obama, oil from Alberta will likely go to China instead of the  U.S.

“Some people believe that rising gasoline prices are a sign that the  economy is strengthening but one sure way to knock the  economy back into recession is a $6 or even $4 per gallon gasoline price.   And this, in turn, could have an impact on this year’s elections.  Stay  tuned,” Steve Odland wrote.

No doubt, the White House will try to blame Republicans for that, as  well.

Does Obama Want to Lose? Yes! (Then let’s help him America!)

Posted by Alan Caruba via Tea Party Nation

It seems like a bizarre notion, but does Barack Obama want to lose the election in November?

I think he does!

One is struck by the way Obama has visibly aged in the job. He may well have grown weary being POTUS.

By any rational standard, one would say he wants a second term, but Obama has always operated in a fantasy world where mere words are supposed to translate into reality. And he has repeatedly talked about being a one-term president.

He is, after all, his own invention; the author of two memoirs of a life that had little achievement to point to other than getting elected first to the Illinois legislature and then to the Senate where he lingered a bare two years before running for president.

I raise the question because Obama seems to be deliberately irritating the very people who are supposed to be his “base”; the hard core liberals, the Hollywood crowd, youth, and unions, among others. His partisanship has put Congress into total gridlock.

When members of the Occupy movement showed up in Washington, D.C., one of them threw a smoke bomb onto the White House lawn. Others who have been camped out in a park there are likely to be tossed out if for no other reason than the place is overrun with rats and has become a public health hazard.

The decision to stop the Keystone pipeline is a deliberate offense to the unions that have contributed millions to his campaign. Why? It pleased the environmental groups like the Sierra Club and Friends of the Earth. Americans, however, understand the pipeline represented both jobs and oil, two things they deem worth having.

Then there are all the vacations Obama and his family takes. They have one thing in common. They are ostentatiously expensive. Obama or Michelle always seem to be going on vacation or returning from one. The characterization may be unfair, but perception is everything.

Americans are very keen on their military and, of all the government programs Obama could have chosen to trim, he’s had the knives out for the Pentagon since he took office. While a war-weary public was likely pleased when he withdrew troops from Iraq (neither Bush, nor Obama had a choice as the Iraqis made it clear they wanted U.S. troops out), the fact remains that the main news out of Iraq these days are bombings as the Sunni versus Shiite conflict has returned. Afghanistan remains a millstone.

Even in the face of a clear threat, it is unlikely that Obama would respond militarily between now and Election Day. The most likely scenario, however, would be an Israeli decision to strike at Iran before it becomes a full-fledged nuclear threat. It must be said, however, that Obama and other NATO nations have positioned some military assets in the Persian Gulf, but would he pull the trigger? It’s doubtful.

The most obvious problem Obama faces is unemployment. It’s variously set at anywhere from 11% to 20% depending on the part of the nation you’re discussing. It still is far too high everywhere and he gives every impression of being, if not indifferent to it, at least in no hurry to address it. Most certainly none of his programs have reduced it. His alleged “stimulus” was little more than a political slush fund that added billions to the national debt and failed.

Every President is subject to “events” and the likely default of Greece and financial troubles of several European nations are likely to impact the national election as Americans try to sort out what effect it will have here. Obama has already presided over the first downgrade of America’s debt rating and we shall surely be reminded of that in the months ahead.

The other event will be the Supreme Court hearing of the case against Obamacare in March. They may not issue a decision right away or they might issue one just before November 6th.

There are two lines of thought about the forthcoming national election. Past Presidents were relieved to leave office despite its power and prestige. (1) Obama may not like being President and (2) he has concluded that he will be defeated. He gives the impression of not caring about public opinion anymore.

The only people publicly defending him seem to have Attention Deficit Disorder. Either they haven’t paid attention to what a disaster his term has been thus far or they just don’t think it’s his fault.

I think he will go through the motions, but I also think a majority of voters no longer believe a word he says anymore.

Unions, Buffett, Robber Barons and Cronies Now Have Our Oil, Oh My

By John Ransom via Townhall Finance

President Barack Obama and Warren Buffett in t...

It’s already been widely reported that Warren Buffett, a major shareholder in Obama, Inc. will be one of the primary beneficiaries of the decision from the White House to kill the Keystone pipeline and the jobs it would create.

The administration now makes no attempt at all to disguise the fact that most decisions he makes are made in the best interest of Obama, Inc. shareholders.

Buffett’s railroad, the BNSF Railway- now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Obama, Inc.- in a remarkable coincidence, will instead, apparently and patriotically, transport Canadian oil to the US at only a slight premium to the oil companies than it would have cost to transport via the Keystone pipeline.

Ohmygosh. What a fortunate coincidence for all of us. Maybe now Buffett’s secretary will be able to afford the higher tax bracket her jerk-off boss puts her in and she won’t have to decide between her medication and cat food.

Obama has decided thusly to kill the pipeline even though: 1) Transport costs will be more expensive; and 2) The transport method will introduce more of the dreaded “carbon” into our atmosphere. Remember the thing that activists have been protesting against?

Net/net environmentalists have just made sure that more “carbon” will kill our planet even more quickly under their theory.

It’s a win-win-win. Obama and Buffett and Buffett’s secretary all benefit.

And really: Who else is there to be concerned about?

Seriously though: You just can’t find a group more gullible than environmental activists.

It used to be that starting a religious cult was a convenient way to control the gullible. But today’s sophisticated con artist would be well advised to invent a global crisis, you know, like Global Polar Bear Cannibalism.

Imagine spending six months working toward stopping Keystone because you believe with all your liberal bleeding heart that you’ll stop the dirty, planet-killing carbon, only to read today’s article from Bloomberg about the Buffett Express.

While Buffett apparently is a shareholder in Obama, Inc., enviros are only sharecroppers in the concern.

Because anytime you have a liberal policy that 1) is more expensive and 2) doesn’t even attempt to address the issue that liberal activists say they are protesting- you know, like too much “carbon” in our atmosphere- you know somewhere, somehow, someway that another, better-heeled liberal shareholder has just stuck it to the sharecroppers on Obama’s plantation. They tried it previously with Al Gore’s Climate Exchange. I’m still waiting for a thank you from environmentalists for stopping that scam.

I wrote previously about how Labors’ International Union of North America- another sharecropper on Fantasy Island- denounced president Obama’s decision to kill Keystone. But a handful of other unions will benefit greatly because their workers work for Obama shareholder Warren Buffett.

I know, I know: It surprised me too.

Here’s how the Transport Workers Union explained it:

Under President Jim Little, TWU has been a leader in advocating for major “New Deal” type investments in infrastructure modernization and repair, public transportation, energy conservation and climate protection as a means of putting people to work and laying the foundations of a more sustainable economic future for the United States. This is a transition that sound science and sound economics tell us we must make today, not in some far off future, in order to prevent irreversible harm to our planet’s climate, and to provide good jobs now for the millions of Americans who desperately need them. The proposed Keystone XL pipeline would take us in the opposite direction, increasing our reliance on dirty bitumen sands oil and stalling critical efforts to create the jobs we need to transition to a more sustainable economy.

The pipeline appeared to be on a fast track to approval, but thanks to the efforts of TWU and a handful of other unions allied with millions of climate justice activists, in November the State Department delayed its decision on the project, and President Obama has said that if Republicans again try to force him to make a premature decision by tying the pipeline’s fate to another payroll tax cut extension early in 2012, he’ll kill the project for good.

So now we know where Obama draws the line: terrorist are OK; illegal immigrants; mob violence- good with all that. But force him to make up his mind? You’ve really crossed the line now buddy.

Thanks to goodness that Obama’s not thinking about the good of the country, but rather just the politics of the whole thing. Maybe we can get him to hold his breath too until the GOP backs down? Hey, it’s worth a shot. He’s done dumber things…this year.

No mention from the Transport Workers union in their communiqué that their workers will now transport the oil that would have gone via the pipeline. Also no mention that a million barrels of oil transported per day will produce for railroads about $3 billion in annual revenues for union workers who are in pay dispute with Buffett’s BNSF and other national carriers.

Ohmygosh. They forgot to tell us that part too.

Where will they get the money to raise union wages?

Ta Da! President Obama has now found the money to settle the dispute.

In October, Obama signed an executive order declaring an emergency and created a Presidential Emergency Board (PEB) to forestall a railroad strike.

I guess the PEB found a way out of the difficulty. It’s just a gut feeling I have, but perhaps there will be no strike now.

But the fun doesn’t stop there ladies and gentleman.

Just think of this: Warren Buffett and the railway workers now control a significant portion of your oil. Greaaaat. We thought we’d stop letting our enemies dictate to us once we used less Middle East, Iranian and Venezuelan oil.

Think again.

Get ready to pay and pay and pay….

The energy publication the Platts puts it this way:

John D. Rockefeller’s Standard Oil used trains to help solidify the power of his trust. (A paper written by two professors on the history of Standard Oil and rail put it this way: “The charge leveled most consistently against Standard Oil is that it secured unfair competitive advantages by negotiating advantageous rates with the railroads over which it shipped crude from the ‘Oil Regions’ of Pennsylvania and Ohio to its Cleveland refineries and sent kerosene and other refined petroleum products to markets on the East Coast.”)

But now the railroads will be able to switch roles with the Standard Oils of the world.

And all this time we thought Keystone was just a dispute about carbon, when in fact it was just a falling out amongst cronies. Some of them, it turns out, are shareholders and some of them, it turns out, are sharecroppers.

Well, either way, global warming, once again, just created a bumper crop of something for someone.

And that something stinks.

Warren Buffett cleans up after Keystone XL – Cronyism Perchance?!?

by John Hayward in Human Events

President Barack Obama and Warren Buffett in t...

When President Obama, who is normally a great proponent of “infrastructure” projects, made his bizarre decision to block the Keystone XL pipeline project, I wondered if he might have been induced to create those thousands of American jobs if the oil could be moved by his beloved high-speed rail.

As it turns out, oil is already moved from northern latitudes, such as the booming oil fields of North Dakota, down to the Gulf of Mexico by rail of the old, low-speed variety.  Fortunately, as Newt Gingrich pointed out during the Monday night Republican debate in Florida, the oil is on private land, so Obama can’t shut production down.

Shipping the oil with a pipeline would have significantly reduced costs, as an Associated Press report explains:

Billions of dollars of infrastructure improvements have been made in recent years to allow North Dakota’s oil shipping capacity to keep pace with the skyrocketing production. North Dakota is the nation’s fourth-biggest oil producer and is expected to trail only Texas in crude output within the next year. Alison Ritter, a spokeswoman for the state Department of Mineral Resources, said the state’s so-called takeaway capacity is adequate, though producers and the state were counting on the on the Keystone XL to move North Dakota crude. Shipping crude by pipeline in North Dakota adds up to $1.50 to its cost, compared to $2 or more a barrel for rail shipments, producers say. “Oil that would have moved by the Keystone XL is now going to shift to rail transportation,” Ritter said.

Amusingly, a spokesman for the Sierra Club admitted “there is no question that [transporting] oil by rail or truck is much more dangerous than a pipeline,” but that didn’t stop the zero-growth eco-fanatics from calling in their chips with President Downgrade to kill that pipeline.

Those rail shipments are expected to “increase exponentially with increased oil production and the shortage of pipelines,” according to Justin Kringstad, director of the North Dakota Pipeline Authority.  That’s going to be quite a windfall for the railroad companies, isn’t it?

As it happens, 75 percent of the oil currently shipped by rail out of North Dakota is handled by Burlington Northern Santa Fe LLC… which just happens to be a unit of Warren Buffett’s company, Berkshire Hathaway Inc.  What a coincidence!

For some reason, nobody from BNSF or Berkshire Hathaway would return the AP’s telephone calls, but oilman Harold Hamm told them he was sure this was just a wonderful “lucky break” for Barack Obama’s favorite billionaire, who is “certainly favored by this decision.”  I’ve heard Buffett’s famously overtaxed secretary will be a guest at the State of the Union address tonight.  Maybe someone could ask her about it.

The “tax me more” refrain from liberal billionaires is one of the oldest sucker games in the book.  For the well-connected, the money that can be made through government power – whether by influencing corrupt politicians, or merely predicting what they’re going to do – dwarfs whatever income they offer to cough up.

The Land of Obama Make-Believe

By Michelle Malkin in Townhall

Where did President Obama go after killing off thousands of Keystone XL pipeline construction and manufacturing jobs? Why, Disney World, of course. Sabotaging work is hard work for Goofy and his pals.

And where’d he head after that? Why, up to Manhattan for more high-priced campaign fundraisers charging up to $38,500 per partier. The business of wining and dining politically connected donors ain’t child’s play, you know.

Obama touted a White House foreign tourism initiative on Thursday with Cinderella’s castle as his backdrop. “America is open for business,” he proclaimed chirpily to the rest of the globe.

Tell that to the Keystone managers in Canada whom Obama and his State Department rebuffed — after years of planning and review — in order to appease militant environmentalists and Hollywood celebs. The Animatronic Divider robotically lambasted Republicans for pushing him to make a decision this week. But Senate and House Democrats issued the sharpest rebukes to White House obstructionism:

President Obama’s decision on the Keystone XL pipeline is a major setback for the American economy, American workers, and America’s energy independence,” Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.V., said.

“The rejection of the Keystone XL pipeline permit is a missed opportunity to drastically turn this economy around. This pipeline would have created thousands of new jobs and helped to ensure our energy independence,” Rep. Jason Altmire, D-Pa., lamented.

“This delay is just playing politics with American jobs and American energy security,” Rep. Jim Matheson, D-Utah, pointed out.

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle scratched their heads as the job-snuffer-in-chief bolted to Orlando’s fantasyland to promote economic growth. But there’s no more fitting place on Earth for the man whose escapist administration occupies the land of make-believe and no consequences. (Bonus moment: Obama got to shake hands with Mickey Mouse, who infamously turned up on a Florida ACORN voter registration form in 2008. Constituent outreach at its most surreal.)

On the very same day he quashed Keystone, Obama released his first campaign ad of 2012 — hyping his stellar record on energy jobs. It’s Opposite Day at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, 365 days a year. Even more comically, the ad touted his exemplary ethics record by quoting a moldy three-year-old endorsement from left-leaning Politifact. And as bipartisan Capitol Hill outrage over the half-billion-dollar Solyndra solar stimulus bust mounts, Obama had the nerve to sprinkle his inaugural campaign spot with — wait for it — solar panels.

Instead of supporting new infrastructure jobs in America through an energy independence-enhancing project that has bipartisan legislative support on Capitol Hill, the president flew to Disney World to peddle looser visa restrictions in China and Brazil by executive order. He also will expand the Visa Waiver Program (a security loophole-ridden program that was suspended temporarily after the 9/11 terrorist attacks) to speed foreign travel.

In case anyone needs reminding, it was the relentless drive of the tourism industry and kowtowing State Department bureaucrats that led to the Bush-era Visa Express Program, which relaxed visa policies, eliminated in-person consulate interviews and opened the door to the 9/11 hijackers. Brazil is just the latest base for al-Qaida and other Islamic jihadi groups. It does not consider Hezbollah or Hamas terrorist groups, and it disbanded its anti-terrorism force in 2009.

The Visa Waiver Program and other efforts to expedite the tourist visa process also pose continuing security risks because — as the Government Accountability Office itself admitted last year — there is still no comprehensive, systematic way to track the 70 million-plus foreign visitors who enter the country on tourist and other short-term visas. Indeed, half of the nation’s estimated 20 million illegal aliens are visa overstayers.

How many of the new Disney foreign tourists whom Obama is touting as America’s economic salvation will fail to return to their home countries after their Obama World visas expire? We’ll likely never know. And Team Obama doesn’t care.

In his opening campaign ad salvo, Obama accuses his opponents of being “untethered to facts.” But this is an administration that believes lowering visa standards and risking homeland security to pump up Disney foreign tourism is a better path to economic recovery than supporting direct American job creation and enhancing energy security. Like the Disney characters he posed with this week, our cartoonish president is wholly untethered to reality.

Score another victory for Obama

By Judson Phillips at Tea Party Nation

Português: O presidente dos Estados Unidos, Ba...

The Obama regime has been doing everything possible to cripple American energy resources.  He has rejected the Keystone Pipeline, which will send Canada’s oil to China.

But have no fear.  Obama’s great relationship with Brazil and the loan guarantees the American taxpayers have given, will get us Brazilian oil.  Right?

Well, maybe not.

From the Washington Times:

Off the coast of Rio de Janeiro — below a mile of water and two miles of shifting rock, sand and salt — is an ultradeep sea of oil that could turn Brazil into the world’s fourth-largest oil producer, behind Russia, Saudi Arabia and the United States.

The country’s state-controlled oil company, Petrobras, expects to pump 4.9 million barrels a day from the country’s oil fields by 2020, with 40 percent of that coming from the seabed. One and a half million barrels will be bound for export markets.

The United States wants it, but China is getting it.

Less than a month after President Obama visited Brazil in March to make a pitch for oil, Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff was off to Beijing to sign oil contracts with two huge state-owned Chinese companies.

The deals are part of a growing oil relationship between the two countries that, thanks to a series of billion-dollar agreements, is giving China greater influence over Brazil’s oil frontier.

Chinese oil companies are pushing to meet mandatory expansion targets by inking deals across Africa and Latin America, but they are especially interested in Brazil.

Great.  Not only is Obama destroying our energy resources, but the foreign resources that we are giving our tax dollars to help develop are going to our arch rival, China.

Great.  Another fine victory from the Obama regime.

To err is human, but to really screw things up, you need to Obama regime.

There is an alternative.  We can get leadership in office who will work to crash oil prices for Americans.

Of course, Obama has no interest in Americans having cheap and abundant fuel.  That is not in his socialist dream for America.

Obama – Thinks Americans Are Stupid

By Marcia Wood on Tea Party Nation

Just in case you thought Barack Obama would change his political tactics from 2008, you were wrong. He’s hell bent on spewing lies on the campaign trail, totally forgetting that Americans remember the “hope and change” bit. There is a difference in his 2011 and 2012 campaign though, he is extremely angry with many of the Democrats and Liberals and his campaign messages are quite toxic.

Here’s what Americans can expect in 2012. Plouffe, Axelrod and Messina have been handed an X-rated President who doesn’t have a clean record to run on – in fact his past three years could be likened to a sewer rat who hides out in the daytime and slinks around at night stealing our “Cheese.”

His most recent punch line can be seen on one of the first Presidential ads in 2012 – he’s defending his record on energy. This would be laughable if it weren’t so serious. Plouffee and Axelrod aren’t stupid and they want to sweep the Solyndra, Sun Power, Tesla and Fisker under the rug, but there’s more problems coming our way and this ad will haunt them in 2012.

This ad is a perfect example of what we’ll be seeing in 2012 and it is a “FULL BLOWN LIE.” Obama’s energy policies are costly and they reek of illegal loans, grants misusing taxpayers’ money and a way to pay off his big bundlers. Solyndra 585 million down the drain, Sun Power at least 1.2 billion of our money gobbled up and the Fisker and Tesla problems just keep hitting us below the belt daily. Talk about slinky lousy energy policies – we’re talking about a Commander in Chief who just nixed the Keystone Pipeline which would give us a big boost in energy independence and create thousands of jobs.

Many Democrats support the Keystone Pipeline – Senate Democrats who like the project are Claire McCaskill, D-Mo, Mary Landrieu, D-La, Mark Begich, D-Alaska, , Jon Tester D-Mont., Mark Pryor, D-Ark., and Kent Conrad, D-N.D. Max Baucus D-Mont and there’s many more who support the Keystone Pipeline. The reason for stopping the Keystone Pipeline is just a bunch of political trash – he’s buying off the environmentalists and surfing for votes?

His latest and greatest campaign punch line, “Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, and Newt Gingrich all say they would cut foreign aid to Israel — and every other country — to zero.” Obama takes everything out of context and puts a spin on it hoping to capture a few more votes here and there. Not one of these Candidates said they were zeroing out aid to foreign Countries they were applying “zero based budgeting” which doesn’t mean Countries won’t receive money from the USA, nor does it mean that Israel foreign aid is being cut. So the smooth talking Obama with his trusty teleprompter either can’t hear or English isn’t his language.

The construction Unions are adamant about Obama nixing the Keystone Pipeline saying, “We are completely and totally disappointed. This is politics at its worst,” LIUNA General President Terry O’Sullivan said. “Once again the President has sided with environmentalists instead of blue collar construction workers – even though environmental concerns were more than adequately addressed. Blue collar construction workers across the U.S. will not forget this.” Jobs at our fingertips and Obama won’t let Americans go back to work.

Obama has two things in mind for the remainder of 2012; (1) Borrowing more money, which we don’t have for his “redistribution” agenda, and (2) Dividing our Nation via class warfare, which will leave us totally dependent on the Government.

Obama will continue following the “Rules for Radicals” trying to distract and divide the Country. He obviously is using the Cloward/Piven strategy for he has created an economic crisis in the past three years and now Obama and Democrats are managing the crisis by asking for more money and overwhelming our Government with entitlement demands.

2012 will be a tough year for Americans but when making a decision next fall at the polls – ask yourself these questions: (1) Am I better off than I was in 2009, (2) Are my friends, family and neighbors better off, and (3) Will our Country be another Greece if we keep spending without paying our National Deficit off?

May God Bless America As Always, Little Tboca
