Obama-Endorsed Rev. Jeremiah “G-d Damn America” Wright Calls on Muslims to Retake Jerusalem

via Atlas Shrugs

CiF Watch recently established a special  website to expose the truth of the Global March to Jerusalem at www.gm2j.co due to take on March 30, 2012. GMJ is run by  mostly Hamas and MB members — and Obama’s longtime pastor and mentor, Reverend Jeremiah Wright, is on the advisory  board: http://www.gmj-na.org/home.html. (hat tip Emet)

Obama’s Pastor calls on Muslims to retake Jerusalem YourJewishNews.com March 13 (hat tip David W.)

Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who was US President Barack Obama’s pastor  for 20 years at the Trinity United Church of Christ on Chicago’s south  side, has endorsed the “March on Jerusalem.”

The  Doha conference was a two-day long effort to demonize Israel and deny  Judaism’s more than three thousand year connection to Jerusalem.  Both events are designed to reverse what their organizers call the Judaization of “occupied Jerusalem.”

The  White House has refused to comment on Wright’s decision to endorse the  March on Jerusalem, or the presence of state department consultants at  the so-called Doha Conference.

The National Conference of Jewish Affairs said  “That the President’s long-time pastor and “spiritual leader” is now  endorsing the Global March to Jerusalem, without a reaction from the  White House, underscores President Obama’s failure to recognize the  unalterable significance of Judaism’s multi-millennial connection to  Jerusalem, which is the capital of the Jewish State, Israel.”

Wright,  of “God Damn America” notoriety, has also asserted on ABC news that the  U.S. brought on the 9/11 attacks with its own “terrorism.”

He  has also made openly anti-Semitic statements saying Jews have robbed  him of his influence over Obama, “Them Jews aren’t going to let him talk  to me. I told my baby daughter, that he’ll talk to me in five years  when he’s a lame duck, or in eight years when he’s out of office.”

“[T]he Jewish vote, the A-I-P-A-C vote, that’s controlling him,” Wright also has also claimed.  The Global March to Jerusalem, slated for March 30th, follows on the heels of the anti-Israel, anti-Semitic Doha Conference on the Defense of ‘Occupied’ Jerusalem.”

Obama  – who adamantly denied hearing any offensive statements from Wright  during his 20 years in his flock despite being shown numerous video  clips of them – has sought to defend Wright in the past.

“It’s  as if we took the five dumbest things that I’ve ever said or you’ve  ever said in our lives and compressed them and put them out there — I  think that people’s reaction would, understandably, be upset.”

This is the man who shaped Barack Obama’s thinking. From my book The Post-American Presidency: The Obama Administration’s War On America:

The Reverend Jeremiah Wright of Trinity United Church of Christ, of which Obama was a member for twenty years, had roots in both Islam and economic radicalism: “But Wright was a former Muslim and black nationalist who had studied at Howard and Chicago, and Trinity’s guiding principles – what the church calls the ‘Black Value System’– included a ‘Disavowal of the Pursuit of Middleclassness.’”[i] Wright was also a close associate of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who in November 2009 offered a doggerel version of Obama’s lofty post-American internationalism: “America,” he declared, “has run out of time. It is the time of the setting of the sun on the Western world.”[ii]

Jeremiah Wright was a committed Marxist, as he himself confirmed in an address in September 2009: “My work with liberation theology, with Latin American theologians, with the Black Theology Project and with the Cuban Council of Churches taught me 30 years ago the importance of Marx and the Marxist analysis of the social realities of the vulnerable and the oppressed who were trying desperately to break free of the political economics undergirded by this country that were choking them and cutting off any hope of a possible future where all of the people would benefit.”[iii]

The Fight The Smears website says that Obama “has never been a Muslim, was not raised a Muslim, and is a committed Christian who attends the United Church of Christ.”[iv] The New York Times reported in 2007 that Obama was baptized at Chicago’s Trinity United Church of Christ in 1988.[v] Details, however, are sketchy and contradictory: a year later, Newsweek stated that Obama was baptized “in the early 1990s.”[vi] Was Obama baptized at all? The truth of this matter is elusive. However, the positions of the Trinity United Church of Christ, which Obama attended for twenty years, are not elusive in the least: black nationalism and socialism were always on the agenda – and it is significant that the Christianity preached in the Trinity United Church of Christ is a far-left variety that focuses upon few of the features of Christianity that distinguish it from Islam, or at least from the black nationalist amalgam of Islam, Christianity, and racial identity that is the hallmark of that peculiarly American brand of Islam, the Nation of Islam.

When Obama became a member of Trinity Church in 1991, he accepted what the church calls “the Black Value System,” a race-based code ethics that encourages black separatism, warning black Americans to shun the middle class life as a white trap, and to patronize only black-owned businesses. As Jeremiah Wright put it, “We are an African people, and remain true to our native land, the mother continent.”[vii]

Not to America.

Wright, of course, drew controversy during the campaign for his exaggerated race baiting and hateful statements in support of his protégé’s presidential campaign. And Obama, after a good deal of hesitation, ultimately threw Wright under the bus for these and other statements:

The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a … law, and then wants us to sing God bless America, no no no, not God bless America, GOD DAMN AMERICA, it’s in the Bible, killing innocent people.….

Ohhh, I am so glad that I got a god who knows what it is to be a poor black man, and in a country and a culture that is controlled by and run by rich white people!

Obama’s repudiation of this race hate was welcome, albeit tardy and politically motivated. Wright’s remarks during the campaign, however, were not likely to have differed significantly in philosophy from remarks he had made over the course of twenty years – while Barack Obama sat and listened.

And there were signs that Obama did listen. Wright preached after 9/11 that America had gotten what it deserved – that the attacks were just desserts for the atomic bombs exploded in Japan: “We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye. We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant, because the stuff we have done overseas are now brought back into our own front yard! America’s chickens, are coming home, to roost.”[viii]

This was Obama’s spiritual adviser. The man whose sermon inspired the title of Obama’s second autobiography, The Audacity of Hope.

Asked during a visit to Japan in November 2009 whether he thought the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were justified, Obama ducked the question. Were Wright’s condemnations of those bombings still ringing in his ears? Of course, there were plenty of other radical leftists from whom Obama might have picked up this idea. But the coincidence was notable.[ix]

Now it certainly seems as if Barack Obama, with his schemes to nationalize health care, the auto industry, and more, has absorbed and adopted as his own some of Wright’s principal preoccupations – and is intent on making the nation as a whole disavow the “pursuit of middleclassness.”

These are not just insignificant associations. Obama and Wright are still close; despite Obama’s public repudiation of Trinity United Church of Christ during his presidential campaign, and bitter words from Wright about the severing of their relationship, Wright has visited the White House at least once since his onetime protégé became president.[x]

And Wright’s race-baiting Christianity of Resentment has also left its mark on Obama’s handling of racial issues as president.

“The Project” (A Global Strategy for Islamic Policy) – Eerily similar to “An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Brotherhood in North America”

The following was sent to me by a new friend via the Swissdefenceleague.  Switzerland is undergoing a transformation similar to that in the UK.  Muslim and Islamic factions are trying to take over the government and even want to replace the Swiss national flag.  The following document, found written in French, was sent through Google translator.  Note the date of  “The Project” (A Global Strategy for Islamic Policy) – 12/01/1982!  This is eerily similar to “An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Brotherhood in North America” which was written in May 1991 and discovered during the Holy Land Foundation Trial. There will be more to come – thank you Wilhelm!

In November 2001, European police are investing the luxurious villa of an Islamic bank on the banks of a Swiss lake. They discovered a document kept secret for nearly twenty years: the “Project”. This text, known only to a handful of specialists, describes the clandestine strategy which aims to “establish the kingdom of God on Earth”. All means are good in this world conquest: infiltration of society, propaganda, alliance with the fighters of the Holy War … The “Project” shows a section of hidden history of Islam in the West.

Inspired by the radical ideas of the Muslim Brotherhood, his followers have built in Europe and America a network of mosques, religious centers, charitable institutions pursuing the same goal: to create an ideal society based on the Koran, expand the sphere of Islam and to end the hegemony of Western civilization to the world. Conducted over several months in Europe and the United States, this survey raises important issues for the future of our societies: the Islamists who are really “moderates” who claim to represent Muslims in the West? What ideas do they spread, and with what methods? Rich in exclusive revelations, this book provides specific answers, informed, troubling.

By watching the news, we are able to see the “Project” takes place substantially as planned. Except that people are much more aware than they were the dangers of Islamism and they will abort the “Project”.

The “Project”

Towards a Global Strategy for Islamic Policy

(Starting points, items, procedures and missions)

This report presents an overview of an international strategy for Islamic policy. According to its guidelines, and in accordance therewith, the Islamic political authorities are developed in different regions. This is, first, to define the starting points of this policy and to articulate the components of each starting point and the most important procedures related to each starting point, we finally suggest some missions, as an example only, may Allah protect us. Below, the main starting points of this policy:

1. Know the terrain and adopt a scientific methodology for planning and implementation.

2. Get serious in work.

3. Reconcile international engagement and local flexibility.

4. Reconcile political engagement and the need to avoid isolation on the one hand, continuing education and institutional work of generations on the other.

5. Work to establish the Islamic state, along with progressive efforts to control local power centers through institutional work.

6. Work with loyalty alongside Islamic groups and institutions in various fields by agreeing on common ground in order to “cooperate on areas of agreement and to set aside areas of disagreement.”

7. Accept the principle of temporary cooperation between Islamic movements and national movements in general areas and areas of agreement such as the fight against colonialism, preaching and the Jewish state without having to form alliances. This requires, however, limited contacts between certain leaders, case by case, as these contacts do not violate the law. However, they do not pledge allegiance or trust them, knowing that the Islamic movement must be the cause of the initiatives and orientations taken.

8. Mastering the art of the possible, a provisional perspective, without abusing the basic principles, knowing that the teachings of Allah are all applicable. Must order the blâmable1 and forbidding, while giving a documented opinion. But we should not seek a confrontation with our adversaries, locally or globally, which would be disproportionate and could lead to attacks against the dawa2 or his disciples.

9. Continuously build the strength of the worldwide Islamic dawa and support movements engaged in jihad in the Muslim world, to varying degrees and as much as possible.

10. Helping monitoring systems many and varied, in many places, to gather information and adopt an informed and effective communication, able to serve the global Islamic movement. Indeed, surveillance, policy decisions and effective communication are complementary.

11. Adopt the Palestinian cause on a global Islamic, on a political level and through jihad because it is the keystone of the renaissance of the Arab world today.

12. Learn to use self-criticism and permanent evaluation of worldwide Islamic policy and its objectives, its content and its procedures to improve. It is a duty and a necessity according to the precepts of Sharia.

[1] Concept cited in the Koran, became one of the central aims of the brotherhood: it was also translated as “good order and hunt down the evil.”

Purim 2012: Obama, Israel, and Iran

By Alan Caruba via Tea Party Nation

President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minis...

On the 14th day of the Hebrew month of Adar (a lunar calendar), Jews around the world will celebrate Purim. This year it begins at sunset on Wednesday, March 7 and concludes the following day. If I was an Iranian ayatollah, I would be worried.

Like Passover that celebrates the liberation of Jews, their exodus from Egypt in the days of the pharaoh, Purim celebrates a victory over the evil prime minister of the Persian empire ruled by King Ahasuerus. Haman was the archetype anti-Semite and, as the story of Esther relates, he was angered by the refusal of Mordechai, the leader of the Jews, to bow to him. Haman convinced the king to issue a decree for the extermination of all the Jews on 13 Adar.

At various points in Jewish history, leaders, prophets, and fate—some would call it God’s intervention—have occurred to protect Jews from those who hate them and seek their destruction. In the case of Purim, it happened that the king had ordered the death of his wife, Vashti, who had failed to follow his orders. He held a beauty contest to find a new bride and Esther was chosen. She soon found favor with him, but she had prudently not revealed that she was Jewish.

When the Jews faced extermination, however, she invited the king and Haman to join her for a feast where she revealed she was Jewish to save her people. Haman was hanged and Mordechai was appointed the prime minister in his stead. A new decree was issued, granting the Jews the right to defend themselves and, on the 13th of Adar, they dispatched many of their enemies. On the 14th, they rested and celebrated.

Among Jews is a joke, a lighthearted parody of grace before dining that goes “They tried to kill us. They didn’t. We won. Let’s eat.”

Given the events of this week as the President spoke to the convention of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), followed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the fate of Israel again hangs in the balance due to the repeated threats of annihilation by the Iranian regime and the prospect of their acquiring nuclear weapons. Both leaders stressed their opposition to this. Both stressed it was not just a threat to Israel, but to the entire world.

The ayatollahs would be wise to read the “Megillah”, the scroll of Esther, an integral part of the celebration of Purim. Reportedly, Netanyahu give Obama a copy when they met to discuss the Iranian threat.

Netanyahu’s speech stressed the right of the sovereign nation of Israel to defend itself and the President’s speech affirmed that Israel has the right to defend itself “by itself” while promising that “I have your back.”

In a Wall Street Journal commentary, “The ‘Jewish’ President”, columnist Bret Stephens cast great doubt over Barack Hussein Obama’s trustworthiness. “Here is a president who fought tooth-and-nail against the very sanctions on Iran for which he now seeks to reap political credit. He inherited from the Bush administration the security assistance to Israel he now advertises as proof of his ‘unprecedented’ commitment to the Jewish state.”

“His defense secretary has repeatedly cast doubt on the efficacy of a U.S. military option against Iran even as the president insists it remains ‘on the table.’ His top national security advisers keep warning Israel not to attack Iran even as he claims not to presume to tell (Israeli leaders) what is best for them.”

Stephens cites a book by Peter Beinart, due out next month, called “The Crisis of Zionism.” Chapter five is titled “The Jewish President.” Beinart points out that Obama’s views about Israel have been shaped by his friends Rashid Khalidi and former pastor, Jeremiah Wright. Beinart warns that Obama’s views were shaped as well by “a coterie of far-left Chicago Jews who ‘bred in Obama a specific, and subversive, vision of American Jewish identity and of the Jewish state.’”

“…But the important question here isn’t about American-Jewish attitudes toward Israel,” concludes Stephens, “It’s about the president’s honesty…On the evidence of Mr. Beinart’s sympathetic book, Mr. Obama’s speech at AIPAC was one long exercise of political cynicism.”

If a March 5 Debka File report is accurate, then the President has “decided to let Israel have weapons systems suitable for long-range military operations and strikes against fortified underground targets. They include four KC-35 aerial refueling aircraft, doubling the number already in the Israeli Air Force’s inventory, and GBU-31 Direct Attack Munition-JDAM bombs of the type which serve U.S. bombers, especially those based on aircraft carriers.”

So we are left to sort through the text of AIPAC speeches and other scraps of information to determine the future. The Debka File report appears to signal a change of attitude toward Iran after three years of fruitless and humiliating efforts to open negotiations with that nation.

After three years, Obama has had a challenging learning curve to disabuse him of his beliefs regarding Islam and the Middle East. He entered the White House with some serious reservations about Israel that have been reflected in his prior behavior toward the Jewish state.

His administration has committed as many, if not more, grave errors of political correctness regarding the Islamic war on the West than Carter’s or Clinton’s. The Obama administration made it known that there would no longer be any reference to the global war on terror, substituting “overseas contingency operations” in its stead. The brutal Fort Hood attack was not labeled an Islamic massacre but rather “workplace violence.”

Obama has learned that pretending that Islamo-fascists either don’t exist or don’t mean what they say does not solve the problem. To his credit, he authorized the killing of bin Laden and the drone attack on al Qaeda’s Anwar Awlaki, the mentor to the Fort Hood killer.

The leading supporter of terrorism, however, remains Iran, formerly known as Persia.

For Jewish and Christian Americans the greatest delusion about the Islamic war for world domination is the self-delusion that it is not really happening. As they celebrate Purim 2012, the Israelis harbor no such thoughts.

Declare the Muslim Brotherhood A Terrorist Organization

By Dick Morris

Please read the article and sign the petition to urge Congress to declare the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization!  They are a threat to our country, our Constitution and our freedom and must be stopped!

20,295 Letters and Emails Sent So Far

The Obama Administration has resisted naming the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization. But if any group deserved to be on that list, the Brotherhood does. Ever since 1962, it has worked to convert Americans to jihad and Islamist extremism. It is actively building terrorist cells in the United States.

And the evidence is that it is succeeding. More and more of the terrorist attacks on American soil are coming from people who live here, many of whom converted to Islam through the work of the Brotherhood.

Since 9-11, 156 men have been indicted for terror-related activities. 127 of them had lived in the U.S. for ten years or more at the time of their arrest. One-third of these terrorists converted to Islam in their teens or twenties, most often through the efforts of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Inclusion on the list of terrorist organizations is no symbolic step. The feds block donations to such groups and deny them access to all sorts of financial, administrative, and other aids.

Internationally, of course, the Muslim Brotherhood is working zealously to replace the secular liberalism of the Arab Spring with hard-core, Shariah-compliant, theocratic dictatorships. Suppressing women, eliminating free speech, persecuting Christians, and preaching hatred of Jews, Israel, and America, the Brotherhood is gradually taking over the Middle East as first dictators and now monarchs fall from power.

To fight an enemy, you need to name it as your adversary and that is why including the Muslim Brotherhood on the list of terrorist groups is so important.

The Democrats’ Fear Of An Incipient Black Revolt in 2012

By Norman Berdichevsky via Florida Political Press

This is the first time since the early 1920s that a realistic chance exists that both the Black and the Jewish vote will fall outside the Democrats’ pocket where it has been safely kept under lock and key.

The enormous Black and Jewish majorities in the 2008 presidential election of 95% and 78% respectively will undoubtedly tumble in the upcoming 2012 race.

How far and how fast remains to be seen but as all too few so called ‘pundits’ and young voters are aware, both the Black and Jewish vote from the mid-19th century until after World War I were predominantly Republican.

A recent PJ Media poll of 800 conducted during Feb 21-22 gave support to hypothetical Republican presidential candidates of from 14% for Mitt Romney to 23% for Condi Rice. The recent highest vote share in the African American community for a GOP presidential candidate was for George W. Bush in 2004, with 11%. Although this may appear as trivial, it is obvious that even this glacier like movement is likely to incite panic as a harbinger of things to come.

Similar even greater movements towards the GOP by Jewish and Hispanic voters are also viewed with alarm among the Democrats and pose the possibility that any brief examination of the past will reveal that ethnic loyalties are not etched in stone.

Few young blacks about to vote for the first time are aware that Martin Luther King Jr. was a lifelong Republican. But such a fact , equivalent to the displays at the Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum, could lend weight to the gathering avalanche of a reversal in the future, enough in any case, to change the political map.

The issue came to the fore with the recent clashes between Congressman Allen West (R-22, Florida) and Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-20 Florida) in a heated exchange of views, made all the more poignant and media-worthy because both are from Florida and both are recent migrants to the state.

WASSERMANDebbie Wasserman-Schultz

As a Black and a Jew, their constituencies represent the two strongest components of the Democratic coalition in Congress.

Their conflict reflects a much deeper cleavage – one between No-Nothing Northern carpetbagger ultra-liberal ignorance and deeply held prejudices against the South on the one hand, and West’s symbolic image as a return, after a gap of a hundred years, of the historic ties of common interests between African Americans and the Republican Party.

On the eve of the Civil War, countless editorials in Southern newspapers referred to the probable election of Abraham Lincoln as the candidate of “The Black Republican Party” using “Black” as a symbol of evil and as a sign that the black slaves looked to that party and its candidate Abraham Lincoln as the source of eventual betterment. During Reconstruction, 1865-77, the term was used with even greater vehemence by white Southerners at the spectacle of liberated slaves serving as Republican Congressmen in Washington.

The Dispute Between West and Wasserman Schultz

The DNC chairwoman’s remarks linking the Republican Party to “Jim Crow” caused an immediate double take among anyone familiar with American history but not among all those totally and willfully ignorant liberals, Northern Democrats and many Jews, for whom the period of Reconstruction, the Republican fight against the three S’s that characterized the Democrat Party for the first hundred years of its existence – Slavery, Secession and Segregation- are just a blank page. Only someone as colossally brainwashed or willingly ignorant as Democrat Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz could make the statements that…

“You have the Republicans, who want to literally drag us all the way back to Jim Crow laws – and very transparently-block access to the polls to voters who are more likely to vote for Democratic candidates than Republican candidates. Photo I.D. laws, we think, are very similar to a poll tax.”

This remark came from a woman whose 20th Congressional District in Florida is the most gerrymandered in the country.  Nobody has since ventured to ask the question why it is that the Democrats continually suppress the military vote by not allowing ballots counted even though they were legal in the states that received the ballots yet always agitate for convicted felons in prison to have the vote.

The Democrats feign ignorance about their own history in instituting and institutionalizing poll taxes, grandfather clauses, literacy tests, tolerating lynch mobs and simple strong armed tactics to prevent blacks from voting in most Southern states for almost a hundred years after the end of the Civil War.

Wasserman-Schultz made her incendiary comments on June 6, 2011 during an interview on TV-One. She half-retracted her comments the next day after someone probably referred her to an elementary book on the history of the United States.

The National Republican Committee Chairman released a statement in response charging that …”Wasserman Schultz will literally say anything,” and called the congresswoman’s statements “absurd accusations” and “offensive remarks” leading her to admit that she had “used the wrong analogy” (foot in mouth disease).

Why the Angry Words?

Wasserman-Schultz has been carrying on a campaign of invective against Alan West since he was elected, accusing him of old fashioned prejudice against women, a lack of care about Florida’s senior citizens and failure to protect voting rights for minorities.

On July 19 on the House floor after Congressman West had left, Wasserman Schultz made these critical remarks and poured oil on the fire… “The gentleman from Florida. who represents thousands of Medicare beneficiaries, as do I, is supportive of this plan that would increase costs for Medicare beneficiaries, unbelievable from a Member from South Florida.”

Alan West was painted with the broad brush of callousness toward the elderly, women and – get this – “minorities.”

But the real reason to defame West is obvious. It is not because she is the protective angel of the poor and elderly and West wants to deny them a remedy because he is heartless. He is a next door neighbor in Broward County and a proud BLACK REPUBLICAN whose name causes panic among Democrat campaign hustlers like David Axelrod and Rahm Emanuel and challenges the entire Democratic monopoly on the “minority voters” and the constant appeal of the Democrats to elderly voters posing as their protector. They are assumed to be wards of the state whose welfare benefits need to be safeguarded from the grasp of evil Republicans.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz, like defeated demagogue Alan Grayson, pervert Anthony Weiner and, of course, the President, have always idealized the support of Blacks, Jews, women, and senior citizens for the Democrat Party.

West upset the applecart. This was his unforgivable sin. He has challenged the old monopoly of the ruling Democrat puppets – the Reverends Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and Congressman Charlie Rangel. These three have presided over the African-American community as “leaders” and led their followers into an ever deeper hole of dependency on the federal government.

Contrast the media’s obeisance to this triumvirate of scoundrels with the almost total silence towards the man who is without a doubt the country’s most prominent, distinguished and honored African-American outside of government – a philosopher, economist and historian whose record of achievements is buried and hidden by the media apart from Fox News.

I refer to Thomas Sowell, undoubtedly also the most prominent black critic of the policies of Barack Obama, of affirmative action and the whole range of welfare and educational policies designed by the Democratic Party during the last fifty years. He has been a senior Fellow of the Hoover Institution at Stanford University since 1990 and is the recipient of the highest awards including the National Humanities Medal for prolific scholarship in history, economics and political science and the Bradley Prize for intellectual achievement.

Wasserman-Schultz’s remarks stem from the traditional avoidance of attracting blacks of this caliber and retaining their hold on a population dependent on government programs of dependency. The allegiance of the black and Jewish vote in the pocket of the Democrat Party for the past three generations since the Depression must not be challenged (witness the expulsion of Senator Joe Lieberman) and from the fact that anything that does not support that political alliance is absolutely beyond the pale.

Joseph_Rainey-thumb-400xauto-10834Joseph Hayne Rainey

The first county in the United States to directly elect a Black congressman and accord Jews full equality as voters and as candidates for all public offices was…… Georgetown, South Carolina!

Yes, in deepest Dixie in a county which was the center of the rice growing plantation economy where blacks (mostly slaves) outnumbered Whites in 1860 by a ratio of 10:1. Of course, under Reconstruction, blacks, as citizens, would obviously elect a fellow black.  Joseph Rainey from Georgetown was the first black representative elected who was not unseated in the aftermath of a white backlash and even enjoyed some white support.

He was a moderate Republican and not one of the ‘Radicals’ determined to punish the South. Rainey was of mixed race. His father had been a barber who had earned his freedom. In Representative Rainey’s inaugural address, he vowed to improve the lives of all South Carolinians and to benefit the state he loved.

During his term in office, Rainey supported legislation to protect the civil rights of Southern Blacks and promote the economic reconstruction of South Carolina. In May 1874, he became the first African American to preside over the House of Representatives. By 1878, Reconstruction was ended when the white Democrats regained control of all southern state legislatures and used paramilitary violent groups such as the Klan and the “Red Shirts” to suppress black voting.

All the early black congressmen and senators elected during Reconstruction were members of the Republican Party. The Democrats objected to many of the newly elected black officials and managed to unseat several of them who had been elected in 1870.

Colonel West’s anger is both justifiable and understandable. He was told in effect to remember that, as a Black, he should “know his place” (i.e. the Democrat Party). Other “traitors” who arouse the same ire and passions among Democrats are black Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain, newly elected Florida Senator Marco Rubio of Cuban origin, Jewish Republican House majority leader Eric Cantor (from Virginia), conservative women like Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin, and the Indian-American Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana.

Nikki Haley, the Indian-American female Republican governor of South Carolina, is also a first generation American, the child of immigrant parents and also a member of the other Democrat constituency on which a monopoly is claimed – immigrants – thus effectively throwing three strikes against her.

Allen West refused to have more called strikes against him by a partial umpire and warned the pitcher he was about to throw the bat at her.

Obama Must Defend Israel, Not “Caution” Our Most Important Ally

By Jay Sekulow, ACLJ

Israel is facing grave danger from Iran, which is expected to have nuclear weapons within a year.

The big question: Where does President Obama stand? Will he back Israel and defend our most important ally, if necessary?

Don’t seem to be getting that feeling from the White House. The Washington Post reports: “President Obama and Panetta are said to have cautioned the Israelis that the United States opposes an attack, believing that it would derail an increasingly successful international economic sanctions program and other non-military efforts to stop Iran from crossing the threshold.”

The President “cautioning” Israel? He should be warning Iran, not Israel. Why is he urging Israel to stand-down? And, where’s our pledge of support to Israel? Our promise to defend them if necessary?

No, that’s not happening. Instead, Defense Secretary Panetta told reporters that “we have expressed our concerns” to Israel about a potential military strike against Iran.

Let’s put this into the proper perspective. Israel – under siege – in the crosshairs. Consider this new threat issued today by Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He says Iran “will support and help any nations, any groups” in fighting Israel. He added: “The Zionist regime is a true cancer tumor on this region. . . .and it definitely will be cut off.”

Israel has no shortage of enemies and Iran is said to be cozying up to anti-Israel groups around the globe. Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak understands the danger. He says military action might be necessary if sanctions don’t work.

This from Barak:

“Today, unlike the past, there is no question of the unbearable danger a nuclear Iran poses for the future of the Middle East, for the security of Israel and for the security and financial stability of the entire world.

Today, unlike the past, the world has no doubt that the military nuclear program is steadily nearing ripeness and is about to enter the ‘immunity zone.’ From that point on, the Iranian regime will be able to act to complete the program, with no effective disturbance and a time that is convenient for it.

He who says ‘later,’ may find that it is ‘too late.'”

It’s been nearly 60 years since an American President turned their back on Israel. The last time that happened was in 1956 when President Eisenhower condemned an Israeli-European attack on the Suez Canal. We cannot turn our back on Israel again.

Stand with us and demand that President Obama support Israel and defend Israel if necessary. This is not the time for political posturing. It’s time to show our unequivocal support for Israel. Add your name to our petition now.

GENE SIMMONS of ‘KISS’ tells Barack Obama, “Grow the hell up, you know nothing”

Posted in Bare Naked Islam

Gene Simmons

Born in Israel under the name Chaim Witz, Gene Simmons relocated to Brooklyn at the age of 9 with his mother, a Hungarian immigrant and the only member of her family to survive the Holocaust. Once in the States his name was changed to the more American-sounding Gene Klein, and he struggled to advance his understanding of English through watching television and reading comics. During his school years, he developed an interest in horror and science fiction, for a while even publishing his own comics fanzine; but the Beatles phenomenon inspired a stronger urge to become a musician, and in 1967 he secured a second hand guitar from his mother to realize his ambitions. Participation in a series of different bands followed, amongst which were The Missing Links and The Long Island Sounds. After high school Simmons enrolled in college and began working towards a degree in education, performing at night as a member of Bullfrog Bheer and later in the folk duo Coffee. A period was spent as a teacher in Spanish Harlem and then as a personal assistant for the editor of Vogue, but by this time he had met Paul Stanley and, after a series of unsuccessful attempts, the two founded Kiss  in 1973. It was at this point that he adopted the name Gene Simmons.
